The school nurse took care of Charles until the EMT's arrived to pick him up. Watching the poor boy be put in a neck brace and stretchered definitely had an effect on everyone close by and it didn't take long for the word to spread around the school.
Hurricane Heather strikes again...
She's still just a bully after all...
Why hasn't she been expelled yet...?
The blonde was already public enemy number one but now her actions in gym had the student body up in arms. For the rest of the day no one saw hide nor hare of Heather and that was probably for the best. The rowdier students would've eaten her alive.
As the final bell rang and everyone began to go their separate ways, Edna couldn't help but wonder what fate had befallen her former tormentor. Was she suspended? Expelled? Did the principal just send her home? She wanted answers but Patsy wasn't very forthcoming.
"What do you think happened to Heather?" Ruthie asked.
"I don't know." The geek girl admitted. "Patsy wouldn't tell me."
"She wouldn't tell anyone." Her best friend reminded her.
Multiple people tried to getting answers from Patsy, but the goth girl remained tight lipped. She wouldn't give anyone anything and this left a lot of people peeved. They wanted retribution and the Heather's best friend told them all to piss off.
"I wonder why Patsy's so loyal to her anyway?" Edna continued. "It's not exactly the nicest."
Ruthie seemed to mull it over. "I don't know. We only ever really see them at school."
"True." The ginger girl admitted. "Maybe I'll ask her one of these days since it doesn't look like she's out to get me anymore."
"No one is." Ruthie spoke. "Coming for you now after everything that happened is social suicide."
Also, true. "Hey? Isn't that Patsy?"
Both Enda and Ruthie paused when they noticed the goth girl rounding the corner of the school instead of taking her usual rout home. The pair allowed their curiosity to get the better of them, and they followed a little after the teen.
They found her at the side of the school knocking on a window that slid open to reveal that Heather was still on schoolgrounds. The blonde was dressed back in her turtleneck and skirt and slid out the window along with her backpack.
"I can't believe she's still here." Ruthie said in regard to Heather.
"I guess this means she wasn't suspended or expelled." Edna commented.
Her best friend agreed. "Looks like it. Still, where was she all day?"
"That's the million-dollar question, isn't it?" The geek whispered.
Ruthie's curiosity was at an all-time high. "Do you think we should ask?"
Edna looked a little uncertain. "I don't know."
Even with her newfound abilities she was still uncomfortable around Heather, even more so this new frightened version. The confident bully she wanted to punish was no longer there and if she was, she was buried deep underneath something Edna was all too familiar with.
The Goth looked to be consoling the mouse. She was giving her a hug.
"I kind of feel like I'm creeping on a private moment." Ruthie blushed. She then looked back at her best friend. "What do you want to do?"
That was a good question.
What did she want to do?
