A Long Overdue Confrontation Anime Vore, GTS, GT, Shrinking, Unbirth chapter 83 by copier · original author: oddler

Yuka was taken completely by surprise; all she could do was stare dumbly at the younger girl. Nana painted a horrifying picture. This wasn’t the first time Nana had accused Nyuu of being ‘bad’, she’d done so when she’d first visited their home. In fact, she’d actually attacked Nyuu. Before, she and Kouta had assumed Nana was lying, or perhaps a bit confused, or possibly even deranged. Over the past few weeks though she’d grown quite close to the young horned girl, and she knew that that wasn’t the case. She had completely forgotten about the accusations. Now they were made fresh once more, except this time they were coming from a reliable source, and this time they were far more gruesome and terrifying. Not only was Nana accusing Nyuu…. No, Lucy. Not only was Nana accusing Lucy of being ‘bad’, she was accusing her of being a serial killer, one responsible for hundreds of deaths.

“What…. What’re you saying Nana? Lucy is a good person! She’d never harm a fly! She-“ Yuka stopped mid-sentence. Lucy’s cruel and unrepentant eyes were staring at her maliciously from the depths of her memory.

How much did she really know about ‘Lucy’? She’d only seen her in short, sometimes unrecognizable, bursts. Only moments after regaining her senses she’d slip back into Nyuu, her loveable, childlike, amnesiac, alter ego. From the little of Lucy Yuka had seen, the two were, in many ways, polar opposites. Lucy was more articulate, more poised, and for whatever reason, somewhat unnerving and intimidating. One would think that Nyuu’s actions belied Lucy’s true nature; that she was really a peaceful and fun loving girl deep down. Yet that didn’t seem to be the case. Yuka couldn’t forget that loathing stare she’d received the day Lucy had returned, hornless. It was disturbing, especially since she’d thought it came from the simplistic and always joyful Nyuu.

So who was this stranger in her home, posing as family? If her memory had returned why was she still here? Yuka asked herself the latter mentally, but she already knew the answer. The one thing Lucy and Nyuu had in common was their obsession with her cousin, Kouta. Whether or not Lucy had a home to return to was irrelevant. The girl struck her as being self reliant, and something of a self made loner. She was here for one reason and one reason only.

Yuka bit her lip, wondering about this girl whom radiated a menacing ethos, and lusted for the boy she, not so secretly, desired for herself. Why was she here was the only question Yuka could reasonably answer. Who was she, where did she come from, why she so could and distant? These were questions she couldn’t, and coupled with Nana’s claims, they made Yuka all the more nervous…… Still….

“You think she’s killed….. d- dozens?” Yuka asked in a shaky, though unbelieving voice.

“Hundreds!” Nana expanded her arms for emphasis.

“That’s….. just impossible to believe! I mean, okay, I know I don’t know the real Lucy all that well…. And I know she seems a little crazy… but for her to be a serial killer?! That’s just…I couldn’t possibly believe…”
“It’s true. She’s cut down, and devoured, hundreds of hapless people whose only crime was walking too close to her. Get within two meters of her and BLAMO!” Nana punched a fist into the air dramatically, and Yuka recoiled.

Yuka still refused to swallow it, “hundreds?! That’s practically genocide!!! Come on Nana, no one is capable of that. Especially not a young High School girl!” Lucy was the last person she wanted to defend, but Nana was talking absolute nonsense, “She might not be a very nice person. I’ll admit that much. But there’s no way she could be the monster you’re accusing her of being.”

Nana sighed softly, she knew this wasn’t going to be an easy sell. She also regretted the talk to some small extent. Lucy had saved her life a few nights ago, right after Papa had died. The scientist responsible had snuck up on her with a gun. Lucy, after disposing of him, had told Nana to return and to live with Kouta. That act of kindness had forced her to rethink her view of Lucy. Then, after her return, she’d been, for the most part, non aggressive. She’d tried to force Nana to go out and devour a poor street person, but after butting heads (figuratively speaking) she’d finally relented. She’d so far as to promise not to bug Nana about the hunger ever again….. unless it endangered Kouta, of course.

That was all beside the point however. Yuka had a right to know there was a dangerous, murder obsessed maniac living under her roof. She deserved to know the truth, for better or for worse. Nyuu was gone and, in her place, was a living enigma with a very dark, grisly past.

“Yuka……… I’m going to show you something. Please try not to scream.” Nana closed her eyes and bowed her head. Lucy was a potential threat and, to nip that threat in the butt and preserve her family, she had to expose everything. That meant telling Yuka about her own past and explaining her diclonius roots. Yuka wouldn’t understand, or believe, at first. Nana knew how ridiculous it sounded. But she could show her, the same way she’d show Mayu.

Slowly Nana detached her limbs. Her vectors carried them through the air making it seem as if they floated of their own accord. Lucy was the one responsible for maiming her, but she’d been lucky. She’d been one of the few to walk away. Soon Yuka would understand everything.

Mouth covered in shock, Yuka could only stare in horror as Nana told her about the diclonius species, and the many atrocities committed by Lucy.

……………….

Lucy gave her tight stomach a pat, the contents of her lunch had been digested and absorbed long ago. Her fast metabolism disposed of normal food in mere minutes. Still though, she didn’t feel as if she’d need to feed again anytime soon. The would be rapist she’d consumed the night before would keep her satiated for a while.

In the future she’d have to hunt far from home, and make sure her victims weren’t high profile figures. She didn’t want to expose Kouta, and to a lesser extent Mayu, to any danger. The Facility was still actively hunting her, and others like her. They’d seemingly cut their losses after the incident a few days ago at Ikihoshi bridge. Yet if they had a decent idea of where she was holed up, Lucy had no doubt the man pulling the strings, whomever he may be, would send a task force to collect or eliminate her. For right now though she felt comfortably safe. After losing dozens of pawns and two dicloni, the Facility seemed reluctant to pursue her further. It was only the fact that they were no longer actively looking for her that allowed her to risk returning to the boy she loved. As long as she just didn’t draw unneeded attention to herself, they were likely to leave her and her family alone.

Lucy was busy doing her chores, humming her favorite song to herself, quietly. She didn’t need the music box, the song had been branded into her mind years ago. Dipping the cloth back into the bucket of water, she squeezed out the excess and brought it up to the face of the grandfather clock. She wiped it clean, reflecting internally.

The night before she’d slept pressed against Kouta, enveloped in his warmth…. His aura. Not only her tangible, human arms, but her vectors as well had wrapped around the boy in loving embrace. She’d only meant to be there for a little while but she’d been unable, unwilling, to leave his side voluntarily.

He’d woken up and caught her. She’d been so mortified, so scared of what his reaction might be. Lucy was a tortured soul, but so was he, and it was her fault. Eight years ago she’d cut his young sister in two and devoured his father bite by toothless bite. Kouta had tackled her screaming, ‘Stop it, please stop it!’ Lucy had been shocked, not simply at her friend’s reaction but the terrible emotions it had dragged out of her. Surprise obviously, but also shame, regret, self loathing and disgust. She’d killed his family over a white lie. She’d killed them over Yuka. After escaping from the train she’d wanted to vomit up Kouta’s father, despite that he’d been stewing in the bone crushingly tight belly of a girl half his size. It had been too late however. It had been her desire to apologize, her need to tell Kouta her true feelings, that allowed her to endure horrible torture at the hands of the Facility, and the inner strength and desire needed to combat their countless armies of nameless, faceless henchmen.

On the steps they’d finally had their talk. Kouta would never forgive her for what she’d done, never. He told her he couldn’t let her go because he didn’t want others to suffer, he didn’t want her to kill again, eat again. But he had also told her he loved Nyuu, and the lonely girl from so many years ago. That he wanted her to come home with him. They had hugged each other tightly, and Lucy had initiated a kiss. It was then she had decided to return to her closest friend, and to ignore the potential danger her presence might bring. Yet she had to eliminate the remaining troops first, there couldn’t be a known link between her and Kouta. So she’d eaten…… So many well built, body armor covered, male bodies had worked their way down her throat that night, that even her naturally thin diclonius stomach had bulged out. Nearly a foot in length it squirmed to and thro until a powerful belly crunch, a contraction of her own doing, brought an end to the feverish escape attempts of the prey trapped inside.

Kouta cared for her, enough to hold her so that her loneliness would subside. He still wanted to protect her, to be her friend. It made her meal of the mugger that much more guilt inducing. Kouta had brought her back saying he didn’t want anyone else to be hurt, and Lucy knew she could fight the hunger if ‘Nyuu’ and Nana could. Yet she’d still hunted and eaten.

Then there was the dream to consider. Kouta’s family was dead by her hand, and her recurring nightmare was only becoming more vivid. It had seemed so real and, upon awakening, the stumps where her horns had been were warm and itchy. Lucy assumed it was simply the horns growing back…. But what if it had been something more? Why was she the ‘queen’ when there were other diclonius with the ability it infect humans? Ones with more vectors, longer vectors, and who were more easily controlled? Why had she been released by that male diclonius, and told she was superior to the others? Had it all been a trick? Or was there something hidden deep within her, some latent power yet to be exposed? And if so, what did it have to do with her dream? Her thoughts were shook ajar by a haggard voice called calling out to her.

Lucy looked up from her work. Yuka…. Her housemate….. Her family…. The woman who had caused her to butcher Kanae and add Kohta’s father to her waistline. She didn’t blame her, she accepted full responsibility for her foolish, petty, and jealousy driven actions. That didn’t mean she had to like her though.

She hadn’t caught what Yuka had said originally, now though the girl was only gaping at her like a fish out of water. Finally Yuka choked out, “You…….. you’re a monster.”

Lucy dropped her washcloth. Her bloody irises became empty and calculating.

“Mayu told me what you are…. And what you’ve done.” Yuka stuttered. She still wasn’t aware of Kouta and Lucy’s past, but she knew what Nana, and to some extent Mayu, knew. She knew of Lucy’s anger…. and her diet. It took a lot of willpower to confront the diclonius knowing full well she might end up appeasing her rival’s tummy. Yuka could only hope Lucy didn’t have much of an appetite.

“You’ve killed people Lucy, I know. We invited you into this house because you were lost, and hurt. Now though you’re fine. I…. please, can’t you just leave now? You’ve got your memory back and there’s nothing for you here. Kouta……”

Lucy’s eyes widened slightly, loosing some of their harshness simply at the mention of his name.

“Kouta’s sister and father died when he was very young.” Lucy bowed her head, “He…. He’s suffered so much. The last thing he needs is to be stalked by some strange obsessive psycho killer. You’ve only known him for a few days. You aren’t Nyuu and you don’t know Kouta. Can’t you just leave before you cause this family any unnecessary heartbreak?”

Lucy’s bottom lip was quivering. Anger at Yuka swelled in the pit of her stomach, but even more prominent was the anger she directed at herself. She’d known Kouta for much more than ‘a few days’, and as much as she wanted to leave and ensure his safety, she wasn’t sure if she could bare it. She didn’t have any romantic aspirations. Just to be in his presence. She knew she didn’t deserve him, and that though he cared for her he could never possibly forgive her, but that didn’t mean she was leaving anytime soon.

“Again I’m asking you to leave….. for Kouta’s sake.” Yuka tried again.

Lucy finally opened her mouth to speak.
