"What was that?" asked Genie.
"Probably this place falling apart" said Merill. "This place is old"
That's when Genie noticed the date of the first entry that Merill just read. The entry was written about 100 years before! Which means that this diary is older than Ohfun itself!
"Read on, then" said Genie. "I'm sure that crash was nothing to worry about"
So, Merill read on.
Entry 2
We are back at camp. My companions and me are too far away from a city to travel to in one day. Tomorrow, we shall make for the city of [the name of the city has been crossed out, making it impossible to read it] and we are selling the statue, since it does look to be highly valuable. I don't care about riches myself, but the thief in our party is especially greedy.
My female assistant, Megan, is acting strange. She seems to be hungry all the time, despite all the food that she eats. Secondly, Megan seems to be looking at us like we were--for lack of a better word--food. I catched her licking her lips at Ijani, the magician of our group.
I haven't seen the golden statue either. Megan keeps it in her tent and won't let anybody else see it. I wonder why she's so protective of that statue. Megan didn't even liked the statue when she first saw it. But she seems to like it now. Maybe something about that statue has effected her mind.
"Ijani?" asked Genie. "why does that name sound familiar?"
"I don't know anyone named Ijani" said Merill. She turned the page to see the next entry of the diary. The page of the third entry had burn marks in places and some of the words were missing.
Entry 3
Megan has turned into a predator. I can't fully explain it, but that golden statue has changed my female assistant somehow. When I woke up in the morning, I exited my tent to see that Megan was in the middle of the camp. I also saw that Megan had a huge belly, which she was caressing when I walked towards her. Megan's belly was 15 foot round and her clothes had torn, exposing her belly button and most of her breasts. She looked sheepishy up at me. I saw that Ijani's wand was next to her. I also noticed that a piece of Sam's cloak was hanging from Megan's mouth. [Sam was the fighter of the group].
"Megan!" I yelled. "what happened?"
"I was hungry, but not for regular food" said Megan. "so I ate all the others. It's alright, though, they're still alive within me"
"WHAT?!"
"That statue changed me into a man-eater" said Megan.
I knew it. My guess was right on the money.
"I'm still hungry" said Megan. "come closer"
I suddenly became afraid. So afraid that I simply ran out of the camp in terror. Megan began to chase me, laughing and saying that she preferred to hunt me down this way. I don't know why I ran. Maybe it was because I didn't want to get eaten.
Megan has jumped at me and......[the rest of the entry is unreadable]
Merill and Genie's eyes grew wide.
"This is getting interesting.." said Merill.
"We can read all of it later" said Genie. "let's find Louie and Melissa and tell them what we found"
Merill argeed and both women walked out of the room.
