Rise of the Bottom Feeders AnimeVore,GTS,GT,Shrink,Unbirth,AnalVore chapter 55 by copier · original author: roninmogura

Where ever there was an opening, there was an opportunity and, with the wreckage of the immense warship there came a chance for profit from it's destruction. The Mendell Channel had witnessed an intense battle and as such had bore the wastes of war and set them ashore where the corpse of a once mighty Dai-Gunkai lay vulnerable to the scavengers who lay and wait for an opening to take what they could find from the wreckage. In this case, the very vultures who had come out into the open, being drawn out by the thundering booms of battle, were a local group of Beastmen who lived not too far from this oasis. It wasn't a very large community but, it thrived off of mechanical engineering and building Gunmen for whatever assistance they could provide in the Spiral King's intentions. This was the mission of Psari Town and it's famous group of junk scavengers and engineers, "The Bottom Feeders".

"Sheeesh...get a load of all this stuff." Came the surprised gawk of fish-like beastmen, his fin shaped 'ears' flexing outward as he surveyed the vast wreckage that lay presented to him and his small group. News of the struggle between the Beastman and uprising humans from underground had traveled fast on the surface, so even civilian communities of Beastmen found it in their best interest to aid their comrades however they could. For the Bottom Feeders, this was the perfect opportunity to put their skills to the test and give their help with their expertise. Of course, to say that the gaggle of Beastmen weren't distraught about what they saw would be an understatement of the highest degree. After all, the wreckage they were looking at was a result of a crushing defeat at the hands of the Human rebels fighting against them. "I can't even tell it's the Dai-Gunkai anymore..."

"Puh, those damn apes... they won't get away with this!" An otter beastman spat, the sight of a once proud warship now reduced to scrap being more than enough to make his already warmed, mammalian blood boil in his veins. To think, the humans they thought were weak and feeble, were now crawling out of their holes and committing capital crimes such as this! "Grugh, if I was in one of those Gunmen, I'd show those naked bastards what for! I'd give'em a one and a two and a buckle my shoe-!" The fired up otter jabbed at the thin air, his slender body tensed as he channeled his aggression by throwing punches at the invisible foe ahead of him. He was a rather burly fellow, though slender, there still remained the hint of muscle to his form that gave indication that he was...quite the physical type of man.

"Easy, Catec...save that aggression for when we actually get onto the battlefield." Came the voice of a young beastmen, his short and lanky appearance being a contrast between the toned and muscled appearance of his two comrades. The youthful mutant looked entirely human in appearance, his short, messy brown hair working well with the dark tone of his skin. Neotanic gills spurt from the sides of his head where his human ears would have been while a moderately lengthy tail extended from behind him. His loose fitting shirt and shorts worked well in the humid air, as he seemed to disregard shoes of any kind and allowed his webbed feet pick up the slack "I'm just as pissed as you are, but we ain't gonna be worth shit if we don't get ourselves something that can put a dent in their forces. Lucky for us, the Dai-Gunkai washed up on our turf."

"Tch, I just don't see how you can be so cool about all this, Adino. Those bastards took out the Dai-Gunkai...and with what looked like an amped up Dai-Gunzer, that has to be the biggest insult to our honor as Beastmen!" Catec's anger didn't seem to subside, something Adino rolled his eyes at and merely set foot toward the wreckage to get a closer look at the damages.

"That's because I know how to keep my cool. We've all been a little miffed at how things have been going with the rebellion lately but, that's all the more reason we should put our money where our mouth is and build somethin' of use." Adino remarked, drawing closer to the scrapped Dai-Gunkai and giving an impressive whistle at the sheer immensity of the warship up close. Though much of it had been blown to pieces or charred, Adino could still see just where everything went and how the beast of a battleship would look had it not been completely totaled by battle damages. Not wanting to stand around, Catec and Gyl followed close behind their amphibious partner and snooped through the wasteland of junk and busted parts to salvage what they could and figure a way to actually repair something this large. Adino seemed to hold a youthful confidence that said it was possible, while Gyl was skeptical if they even held the right amount of scrap metal to even rebuild the warship. Either way, neither of them seemed to show attention to what else was washed up with the wreckage...though, this obliviousness toward such a thing would not remain long...

"H-Hey...!" The pained voice of Adiane grunted out as loud as she could, all three of the snooping Beastmen looking back toward where they heard someone's voice raise to their ears. Adiane mustered what little strength she had to force herself up, her only good eye burning it's gaze into the intruding beastmen. In her injured state, Adiane could really only manage to push up her torso, her legs not seeming to want to cooperate with her in getting her to stand. "What...do y-you bastards think you're doing...?"

The beastmen blinked, the lot of them looking to the broken warship, then back to the defeated Adiane. Gyl was the first to notice just who this was staring them down in such an incredulous manner. "Th-that's--!" The fish man croaked, his fins drooping as his eyes bugged out in their sockets, "That's one of the Spiral King's Generals, Adiane the Elegant!"

"Shit, you're right...the Dai-Gunkai, IS her flagship, isn't it?" Adino came to realize, his enthusiasm on rebuilding the warship seeming to cloud his memory on who actually owned it. Of course, given it's current state, it was safe to assume that he believed whoever owned it was thoroughly destroyed along with it.

Naturally, this assumption was false.

"Tch, good to see you ..." Adiane clicked her teeth, taking a look around her to get a look of where she was. "...Where am I anyway?"

"Mendell Channel, near our hometown." Catec answered with crossed arms, "We're here to rebuild your flagship and help out on the frontlines in the war!"

Adiane paused, her mind taking several moments to recollect just how it is she got her. The battle with the humans, her supposed final moments and worst of all...her failure to avenge Thymilph's death. The weight of everything she couldn't achieve caused the aggressive beast woman to clench her teeth in frustration as her fists curled in the sands.

"Damn it! Ignorant ape bastards!" Adiane screamed in anger, slamming her fist onto the ground. It didn't take long before the beast woman was shouting vile profanities and curses to the names of the people who ruined her chance to avenge her most trusted comrade as well as live up to her name as a general.

"O-oi, what's up with--?" Adino stepped forward only to feel his advance halted by Catec's hand on his shoulder. The otter beastman was, despite his temper, much older than both Adino and Gyl put together. His experiences and wisdom ran deep but, it often took a calm mind for him to truly show just how much knowledge he really had.

"Don't be daft, Adino. She's lost something important and I don't just mean the battle. Miss Adiane was fighting for another purpose in that battle...something she now sees that she couldn't fulfill. Failure is never an easy pill to swallow..." Catec's voice wasn't the usually aggressive, growling voice he held in many situations. Something that both Gyl and Adino didn't exactly see coming. "Let's just focus on the warship for now. We can take her back to Psari Town when we're done...we should give her time to cool off."
