Asuka had been in a dark state of mind even before the angel came that had nearly annihilated her psyche. It had simply raped her mind. There was no other word for it; it felt like rape, it had all the hallmarks of a rape. To say that Asuka had fallen into a suicidal depression would be putting it mildly. She had simply lost the will to live. She had ran away from NERV to kill herself. When the military uniforms had caught up with her, Asuka was starving herself and in a bathtub naked. Asuka hadn't even fought back when she had been hauled out of the tub. She was taken back to NERV and was placed in a medically induced coma for her own good. When Seele came to attack Asuka was placed back in her Eva unit where she had made the realization that her mother had been with her this whole time and that had helped tremendously. However Asuka was still a victim to a direct attack from an angel. That kind of trauma doesn't just go away; she was by no means completely cured.
Asuka jerked up from sleep, sitting up in a hospital bed with her heart going a mile a minute. She looked wildly around the room. It took a handful of moments before Asuka was convinced that an attack wasn't going to happen. She breathed heavily trying to calm down but she couldn't. After that little tate-á-tate with Lilith, Asuka had gone back to the time when that angel attacked her in a dream. Asuka would probably be haunted by that memory for the rest of her life.
Asuka collected herself to see that both of her arms were covered in bandages and an eye-patch was over one of her eyes. She must've passed out after seeing Rei coming through the ground. And now Rei was god. Or a god. Or whatever she was.
During the chat with Lilith, humanity did experience instrumemtaily albeit for a brief moment. It was then that Asuka had made the lovely little discovery that Shinji had masturbated over her comatose body. He had the grace of being ashamed of that little act. Asuka knew that Shinji had done it out of insnict after exposing her nipples on accident. Asuka guessed that she really couldn't blame him. She was filled with raging hormones as well. She was at that age when people were discovering new uses for certain body parts.
Asuka had a mind of climbing out of bed to go find Rei and punch the little bitch out for even suggesting that an angel could learn to love. Angels knew nothing of love or any human emotion. They only knew how to destroy and maim.
Asuka looked around wearily. Did Rei know what Asuka was thinking about now that Rei was omnipotent? Long moments passed and nothing happened.
"You're here aren't you?" asked Asuka aloud.
No response.
Asuka sighed and leaned back in the bed after adjusting it from the controls.

Misato was wandering through the halls of NERV trying not to think. She wanted to dive into a bottle of beer and never come back out. Misato then shook her head. No. She wouldn't let it end like that. She wasn't going to escape in the bottle although she had good reason to. Misato had joined NERV to prevent the Third Impact only to discover the goal of NERV was too trigger the Third Impact. Misato had discovered this news by hacking into the computers of NERV after being told that by Kaji. Not that she didn't believe her former lover but she had to confirm it on her own.
Misato just couldn't process the fact that Rei was in fact god. She wanted to curse Rei....and yet, Misato couldn't drive herself too. If anybody deserved their fate it was that damn Gendo. Misato had mixed feelings about Rei eating her boss but now that she thought about it she just couldn't find herself to care.
Misato's thoughts then turned towards Shinji. She had been with Shinji when she had been gunned down and blown up. She had seen Rei briefly before the explosion that had killed her. Rei had somehow resurrected Misato and Misato bitterly wondered if there was any point in living anymore.
Rei hadn't bought back Akagi for some reason. Perhaps Akagi was too ashamed to come back after what she had done to Rei.
"Cononel?" came a voice, interrupting her thoughts.
Misato turned around to see one of bridge crew of NERV....Shigeru?
"What?" asked Misato.
" What's going to happen to NERV now that Seele is gone? "
"There's very little point in having NERV if there's not gonna be any more angel attacks" said Misato.
Misato didn't wait for Shigeru to respond before continuing her wanderings.

It took Shinji a minute to realize that Rei was now sporting an absolutely huge belly and that she was naked. That was the one thing that hadn't changed about Rei; her utter lack of modesty. Shinji decided that he liked Rei fat.
"There's such a thing as a fat fetish" said Rei. Her voice sounded the same but there was subtle differences to it . It was more....confident and more assertive. Wheras before Rei had spoken haltingly she now sounded more sure of herself.
Shinji had blushed over what Rei had said.
"So....um...." said Shinji thinking about a subject for conversation . He could ask about who had created Lilith but he'd only get confused by it.
" It's not all that complicated " said Rei. "It was a celestial race that created Adam and Lilith. Were they actually gods? Even Lilith doesn't know. Earth was deemed suited for Adam while it was Venus that was allocated for Lilith"
Shinji blinked. "Venus?! But we couldn't live on Venus"
" Not now" said Rei. "But Lilith would've terraformed Venus to suit life as you know it. You see, Lilith and Adam were a higher class of angel: they are meant to bring life to a geosphere"
"So....Adam and Lilith were.....related?"
Rei spent a long moment in silence to answer. "Adam and Lilith were....cousins for lack of a better word. Lilith has vague notions of the concept"
"Does she?"
" It's a miracle that we can even communicate with each other" said Rei. "If it wasn't for me, Lilith would most likely annihilate your mind without meaning too. Like what happened to Asuka"
Shinji was angered by the memory of trying to save Asuka but his father kept denying him to go .
It was at that moment when Asuka, Misato and Shinji all felt a great hunger from within their bodies.
