“Like, I’m not too totally sure,” mumbled the giant Goddess. Scratching her head, she frowned and creased her brow. She was trying to remember what they needed, but she couldn’t recall exactly. Kameko wasn’t a Goddess usually associated with brilliant ideas. Most of the people that summoned her just need her to smash up a village or something. She never had to come up with ideas on her own. That was hard.
Naruto stared up at her; his nerves shot after all the close calls he’d had tonight. He wanted a solution and he wanted it fast. He gazed past Sasuke, who was halfway through his list of why he was awesome, to check on the rampaging sandboy. Garaa was picking up speed. He’d get to them sooner then Kakashi predicted. They needed the ritual done fast.
“Come on, out with it already!” Naruto shouted up at the deliberating Goddess.
She snapped out of her currant train of thought and glared down at Naruto in her hand. Did he think this was easy? She wasn’t the most brilliant deity in the heavens. The only reason she got her Goddess license at all was because during the test to get her license she copied over the fat Asian kid sitting beside her. She didn’t do well under pressure.
“I’m not totally sure what the next part is. I think it involves a person, or maybe an object? Then again, maybe you need to do a dance? Little dude, you know any good dance steps? Like the Macarena or…”
“WOULD YOU SHUT UP AND JUST FIGURE IT OUT ALREADY!!!!”
Naruto had always kept his temper in check. Sure, he was a little hotheaded, but he never lashed out at anyone trying to help. But in the last twelve hours he’s been chased from one end of the village to the other by crazy people he thought of as friends, stared down nearly a dozen hungry throats and had a small breakdown where he became friends with a faceless ninja. For all those reasons, Naruto was sure Kameko wouldn’t be too angry with his outburst.
“You little creep!” Kameko tilted her hand and Naruto dropped to the ground. Kakashi hopped away before the Goddess let Naruto drop and was watching with Sasuke as Naruto fell. Naruto landed gracefully on his feet and immediately leapt to his right because a size two hundred foot came crashing down where he’d landed a moment earlier.
“Whoa! Stop!” Kameko’s foot came crashing down again nearly hitting Naruto. She was really trying to stomp him into the ground.
“Stay still and squish!” the Goddess angrily screeched, trying to crush Naruto under her foot like bug. Kakashi and the not so fantastic Four stared dumbly at the Goddesses stomping rampage. Not lifting a finger to help Naruto. None of them were willing to test the rage of the furious Goddess.
“What are you doing! I summoned you! You called me cute!” Naruto was getting tired. He had been already exhausted when they left the village and all this leaping was tiring him out further. He stopped to gasp for air, but quickly rolled to the side when Kameko tried to squish him again.
“You’ll make a cute stain on my shoe!” She growled. Her Valley girl attitude was gone and in it’s place, a rampaging giantess. Her stomps shook the ground, nearly sending Naruto stumbling when he was on solid ground. He stared up at Kameko’s red, angry face, missing the small stone in his path. He tripped over the rock and dived forward. He rolled to his back, just in time to see Kameko’s huge foot hovering over his head. He closed his eyes and waited to be squished. Idly, he wondered if being crushed by a giant foot was better then being eaten by a former friend.
