Naruto leapt across the night sky, his target in his sights. The Hokage Tower was straight ahead, plainly visible through the night sky. Hopefully, Naruto prayed, the tower wasn't filled with some of his stalkers this time around. But he wasn't planning on taking any chances this time around. Instead of going in the front entrance, he was gonna go straight for the Hokage's office itself, and hopefully have a word with granny Tsunade about this little problem about the stalkers. She was a legendary Sannin after all, so she had to know all about ancient jutsus and whatnot, Naruto reasoned to himself. He would merely walk up to her and politely ask whether she could help him out.
Polite meaning wailing on her in an incredibly loud voice of course. Presuming she wasn't drunk on her sake stash.
THUNK!
"ACK!" Naruto cried out as a kunei imbedded itself in the rooftop he was about to land on. A whistle through the air alerted him to more incoming projectiles, and being in mid-fall, there was no way to avoid them by himself.
"Shadow clone jutsu!" In a split second, another Naruto appeared next to the real one, grabbed him by the jacket, and hucked him out of harms way. A loud poofing noise told Naruto that the kunei and shuriken had hit the clone. Skidding to a crouching stop, Naruto turned in the direction the projectiles had come from.
"Hey! Who's trying to eat me this time!" Naruto shouted, glaring at the shadows two buildings across from him. "I warn you, I just managed to have a bowl of ramen no longer then an hour ago, and drugged or not, it put me to the top of my game!"
"Oh, don't tell me you don't remember us..." a voice drawled out of the shadows. A woman's voice, much to Naruto's relief, although something was decidedly odd about this. A voice? As in, one voice? And an "Us"?
Obviously, the speaker was not alone.
This was of course proven true as several figures walked out into the moonlight, making themselves known. Naruto scrunched his eyebrows as he looked at them, checking back and forth as he scanned their faces. A girl with vibrant orange hair that appeared his age, and girl who looked to be half fish, and woman dressed in an expensive looking kimono...
"Actually, I really don't," Naruto said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.
"What!?" The orange haired girl yelled. "How can you not remember me? I'm that girl from the Rice Country that was working for Orochimaru! You met me when infiltrating his Sound Village base!"
"And I'm the leader of the Bird Country," the kimono-dressed woman said in indignition. "You helped me solve the mystery of my brother's death!"
Silence prevailed.
"Oh for christ sakes, I'm half fish!" Said girl cried out. "How can you not remember a fricken half fish half human!"
Naruto crossed his arms, brow furrowed in thought. The girls who had spoken certainly seemed interesting enough to remember, as well as those who looked on behind them in anger. Were could I have met such unusual characters before... "Ahah!"
"You remember?" A woman wearing a headband signifying she was the ruler of the Snow Country asked while smirking evily.
"Nope!" Dismayed cries met Naruto at this statement. "But I know where I had to have seen you all before. Your all to cliche to be significant plot characters, so that must mean that you're filler characters!"
"Filler!?" cried out red head in anger.
"Yup, and that means that none of you are a significant threat to me! So I'm gonna go ahead and see the Hokage now, if you don't mind-!"
THUDTHUDTHUD! More shuriken struck the ground near Naruto's feet.
"I mean, come on, you can't even hit me! And I'm standing still!" Several more weapons flew by him, but they were either thrown so poorly or so slowly that Naruto merely had to lean left and right to avoid them.
"Boy!" the noble looking woman shouted, "You come over here and get in our stomaches!" She stomped her foot on the rooftop to emphasize her demand.
What arrogance, Naruto thought to himself as he watched a few more weapons fly by. Someone should really teach them a lesson...
