Jaana only noticed as she grabbed for her gloves from her kangaroo pocket. A tiny figure latched onto her before the hand had the chance to recede.

She immediately realized that it must have been "the cute one" at the board game night.

The shy woman felt her face turning red, and had to take a short breather on a bench as she felt the situation out.

Her other hand took the little one by surprise from the other side. Jaana just wanted to make sure that it was Meri first, which her fingers were very quick to determine.

Jaana's first thought that the tiny must have stumbled in there by accident, but she couldn't imagine those kinds of happy accidents could happen outside of stories. Moreover, from what she had observed tonight, Meri always acted with grace and care.

A small smile crept on Jaana's face.

Nevermind the fact that it was Jaana's absentminded hands that had grabbed Meri in the first place, but she was too immersed in her own line of thought to consider that.

Those very same hands unwittingly kept fidgeting over their soft captive as Jaana's mind became set.

Jaana suddenly got up, continuing on with a little spring in her step. She had been planning to stop by the store anyway, but this called for a celebration. The current agenda was a nice frozen pizza for the both of them, as well as some other items for... later.

The night was still young.
