Rosa, the tiny activist
Rosa was an early victim of shrinking crime in a world where shrinking isn't criminalized: shrunk against her will by a drunk guy who wanted to enslave her. But, unlike so many other women who ended up slaves or bugs, she escaped. Now, she is bold and brash advocate for the rights of tiny women, albeit permanently a "tiny" herself. This gets her into a lot of trouble with giant men, though, and she still struggles with the submissive suggestion built into man-made shrinkers.
Ava, the girlfriend getting walked all over
Collin considered Shrinktech a gift from God, and used it liberally. Ever since the release of the Home Shrinker, Collin is able to shrink his girlfriend whenever he wants. For Ava, that means she ends up shrunk more than not, more and more of the time.
Tina, the bug
Tina was having the opposite problem compared to women who aren't her pathetic ant-size: getting men to notice her. Tiana was one of the earliest women to shrink due to the virus, too, but ended up nearly a speck in size. Now, she spends most of her time scavenging and trying not to get stepped on.
Farah, who thought she found the perfect guy in Rand, but all of his friends want to enslave or squish her
Farah was a victim of the shrinking virus, and ended up only a few inches in height. Shrinking destroyed her life, and all of a sudden her friends and family wouldn't interact with her. So she thought it was a dream come true when Rand starting dating her, even though he was a "normal" giant. All of Rand's friends don't agree with his acceptance of tiny women, though, and disapprove of Rand's relationship with Farah -- and this unapproving pantheon makes this clear to Farah, in all sorts of cruel and humiliating ways.
