Just as Rei goes to get some breakfast, Sakurai then got another phone call. This time is from the general of Japan himself, Tanaka. He and him have had an ugly feud over the handling of Haruka, but maybe they might be some good news this time from him. Besides, Sakurai might want to tell him of this new development.
"Hello Sakurai, this is Tanaka. Anything you want to tell me?" He grumbled on the phone just as he knows this night be another berating and such.
"Well yes. Regarding Haruka, I do agree that many of our tests failed and such, and his we cannot beat that monster girl at all. Well here is my thought, maybe we don't need Haruka at all. I might have someone who can be the Kaiju we need." Sakurai then told him, this made Tanaka both furious and hopeful.
"Well this better be good, as having two monsters in the city will not turn well." Tanaka scuffed just as he knows where this is going.
"Well think of it like this. If Haruka wants to be herself, we will let her be. We will just have someone who will do the stuff we want for us. If it works, Haruka will look bad in the public eye, and maybe she might join us. And even if it doesn't, this potential success will allow us to take advantage of the new Kaiju and all it's opportunities of how she and more can serve Japan. I will send you the info of the girl I plan to turn into a monster." Sakurai explained just as he sends him the info and files on Rei to him. "You tell me when we get done with breakfast."
Sakurai then hangs up the phone and proceeds to eat breakfast with Rei, both enjoying their good breakfast. Rei knows it's just a matter of time before she becomes a monster, but she will just buy her time. When she got done, she head back up to her rooms to continue her research on Haruka. Sakurai then got on the phone and called Tanaka.
"So, what do you think?" Sakurai replied.
"You know what, for once in my life I agree with you. She would be perfect, if she really wants to be a hero unlike Haruka, and maybe her past can fuel her desire. I hope this turns out well for you. I be impressed if you succeed." Tanaka said, actually smiling for once in a good tone.
After that, Sakurai and Rei after some time got in the limo and headed into the city, but where are they heading?
