"So, where are we headed?" Rei asked. The drive through town with her father may have nice, but she would like to know their final destination.
Sakurai gave the girl a small chuckle. "You'll see."
The answer itself was vague and caused the blue-haired girl to raise an eyebrow. So, where they were headed was supposed to be a surprise then?
Rei accepted that she wasn't going to be outright told and leaned back in her seat as she stared out the window. What she saw were more and more cars packing together as well as people.
That was rather curious.
Then she heard it. A sound she'd become all too familiar with. That all of Japan had become familiar with. A voice that belonged to icon.
Sakurai watched in amusement as Rei quickly rolled down her window and poked her head outside. The way her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped almost made him laugh.
"It's her..." she began. Rei knew that brown hair and those blue eyes anywhere. "It Haruka."
"Correct." Sakurai began before his daughter sat back down. "We're here at her film shoot so you can meet the real deal and see how she operates up close."
"I see." Rei replied. She understood now why her father kept where they were going vague. They were going to meet with the giantess she would soon replace.
"This will be your chance to ask her questions and make sure you're on your best behavior. Wouldn't want her to be wary of you."
The bluenette nodded. "I understand. I won't let this rare opportunity go to waste."
Sakurai smiled before ruffling the girl's hair. "I know you won't."
The limbo finally parked once it was close enough and the pair exited the car. Sakura leaned against the trunk while Rei stretched her legs.
"I'll be waiting for you right here." Sakurai said. He had a good view of the crowed that had gathered while Haruka sat crisscross on the set, answering questions. "Go ask her whatever you need to and remember to be nice."
The girl smiled warmly. "I will."
She then took off into the crowd towards the kaiju of a girl. She would smile, ask her questions, and scrutinize her every move.
She wouldn't let this moment go to waste.
She wouldn't.
