Tanaka was fuming, how could Sakurai actually approve of Junko's biological experiment? Did he really not see the danger of brining another monster into the world?
Harukazilla was damn near invincible and another human being walking around with that kind of power spelled disaster. What if the power went to their head and they couldn't be controlled?
Images of a dilapidated city filled with blood, darkness, and despair came to mind. He'd had dreams like that. Dreams where his home was burning and he was powerless to stop it.
Junko was playing with fire here. Monsters couldn't be controlled. Monster could only bring death and destruction. That blonde bimbo was going to get them all killed, and worse, his short sighted boss approved.
He couldn't let this happen. He couldn't just sit idly by and allow his superiors to bring about the end of the world. All those innocent people on the outside wouldn't stand a chance.
He had to do something, but what? He couldn't steal the samples with all this security around, and if he did he would be labeled a traitor and threat to national security.
He couldn't kill Junko either as everyone would put two and two together and have him arrested on the spot. He couldn't try to appeal to Sakurai again either as the man was wrapped around Junko's finger.
Tanaka growled in frustration. Nothing he thought of could work. It's just like with his damn battle trials, no matter what he came up with he always failed.
Maybe... maybe Junko and Sakurai were right? Maybe he did rely too much on the numbers? But he couldn't just discard the facts. The math didn't lie. Even now, the numbers dictate Junko's plan equaled massive failure. Failure that would cost them all their stars.
What could he do now?
