Some time passed with you still resting your head on your mom's chest while she sat on your lap. This kind of thing had happened many times throughout your life and you never got fully used to it, but now it was even worse for you given your mom's changed looks, which you only could pretend to ignore. But after a while, your mom finally got up and stretched, unknowingly giving you a first-row view of her massive ass.
"Hey sweetie, there's something I want to show you but let's go to my room" You perked up when she said that. Had she bought you something on her shopping trip? You had thought she only went to pick up groceries, but maybe it was something else. In any case, this was something you were interested in and even wondered if it was some new game, luckily for you your mom knew a decent amount about videogames, and in fact the first consoles you ever played were hers.
She stood up and began walking upstairs and then you did as well, but you paused. The couch looked slightly bigger than usual. Had it always been that way? Something felt off. The living room's TV also looked bigger than you remembered. You decided not to dwell on ti and went after your mom, having waited a little to avoid having her big butt near your face while going upstairs.
Entering her room always felt kind of awkward, you knew objectively that you were welcome at nearly all times, and sometimes it'd served as a bit of a sanctuary when Jordana got a bit too rough with her 'playing'. But you were aware this was supposed to be your parents' private bedroom so you felt like you were trespassing.
Still, at least when your mom was there, she liked it when you came to 'visit', and in fact, on many rainy and otherwise boring days you chilled with her on her bed and watched stuff on TV or even played games together, so you got some mixed feelings about it as well. She was already sitting on her bed and patted the mattress, she wanted you to sit next to her, which you reluctantly did. Feeling the softness from her thigh and the gentle warmth it gave off gave you goosebumps and a slight shudder.
"What is it?" You asked with genuine curiosity.
"Hey Blaise, you remember just a moment ago I said I'd always believe you no matter what, right?"
"Y-Yeah..." She definitely caught you off-guard again, that question came out of the blue.
"As a son it's not really your obligation, but, do you think you can extend that treatment to me too?" She then asked.
"Sure! I mean, you've never really lied to me about anything important, why would I start questioning you now?" You replied. Miriam giggled and kissed you on the cheek a few times, caressing your hair next for a bit.
"Sometimes I think you were raised too well for it to have been my job alone" She said with a smile "But then again, I did get plenty of help" She looked away for a moment "Alright. I'm definitely taking you up on your word for this one because you probably aren't gonna believe what you'll see".
Before you could ask what she was talking about, she picked up a coin on her nightstand and showed it to you, it was a simple-looking dollar coin, you even wondered why she'd show you that. But then, while still holding it on her palm, the coin got engulfed by an odd, blue flame-like aura, making your eyes widen in shock. The coin then began shrinking until it was more or less the side of a pinhead.
"What..." That was the only thing your utterly baffled brain allowed you to say.
"What you just saw is 100% real, I swear" Miriam said with a slightly nervous chuckle, handing you over the diminutive coin to see and feel for yourself.
"H-How?" You said, bringing the tiny coin closer to your eyes, it really was still the same coin, there was little to no way a fake could be that detailed at that size. Then, something in your brain clicked.
'Wait a minute! Wasn't this how-' You thought, but it was cut off by Miriam taking the money back and holding it on her open palm once more. This time, a red aura engulfed the coin and it grew steadily until it reached its normal size.
"Honey, I have superpowers..." She confessed and you could almost hear countless glass objects breaking to pieces in your mind. This didn't blow it, it frickin' shattered it. She saw the look in your face and patiently waited for you to process the shocking info she'd just dumped onto you.
"They look a lot like the Mt. Lady's cosplayer's abilities... don't they?" You suddenly blurted out, still amidst your shock and Miriam giggled.
"Whoopsie... who would've thought?" She said, using her highschool/younger sounding voice, which only added to your shock.
"Wait, what...?!" Now you were not only still deeply baffled, you began blushing so hard it even hurt your face.
"The suit's right over there if you don't believe it" Miriam pointed to a corner in the room, where you could see the somewhat tattered Mt. Lady costume. It would be too much of a coincidence, and there's no way she could've known about this beforehand to play a prank on you. Besides, she just grew and shrank a coin before your eyes!
"I believe you..." You said and gulped hard "But how...?"
"I'll tell you later about how this happened" She said calmly, caressing under your chin to soothe you. It was something she, Ariadne and Lillian kinda disputed as to who discovered that little trick, with Lillian claiming that you were somehow cat-like as the explanation for it.
"What's important right now is just to see and to understand that... well, I've got these superpowers now" She said.
"But aren't heroes supposed to keep them a secret?"
"I mean, I'm not telling the whole world. But I don't think I could keep this kind of secret from you, you had to know" Miriam replied. She then grabbed a remote controller and turned on the AC, after which, she demonstrated her powers again, this time growing the controller to double its size and then shrank it to the size of a toy car, and then she finally restored its proper size, much to your disbelief.
"And, as you've seen on the Internet, I can grow too" She whispered, giving you more shudders as your brain was slowly putting together the fact that the Mt. Lady cosplayer you'd seen earlier was none other than your own mom.
"W-What else can you do?" You asked nervously, not even really knowing why you were asking that.
"Well, I can grow myself, I can grow and shrink objects..." She said softly while wrapping an arm around your neck, pulling you closer to her chest like she'd done in the living room "...and living beings too..." she whispered, which intensified your goosebumps and made you shudder even more.
"M-Mom?" The way she said that set off every alarm inside your head, you didn't like the way she spoke, and neither you liked where this seemed to be going. She simply responded with a cheeky smile before pulling you closer for another kiss on your cheek. This time, you felt as if you'd been electrocuted. What felt like electricity rapidly coursed all over your body until reaching your heart, where it seemingly dissipated. You saw red and blue sparks that quickly vanished into the air.
"What the...?!" You said and even your mom paused, she looked a little confused but she simply stayed still and waited, as if to see if anything would happen. 5 minutes later, nothing seemed to happen so your mom returned to her more playful mood.
"Mom?!" You felt like you were pleading for your life, she was giving you an intense stare, she was looking into your eyes, once again it looked like she was searching for something in there, but when you finally tried asking her about it, you felt cold, as if splashed by a bucket of ice water, yet you were dry. You also felt drowsy, your strength was rapidly fading and the last thing you remembered was your head falling forwards and getting caught by your mom's ample bosom. Her warmth and her heartbeat were the last things you remembered feeling before your consciousness completely slipped into the empty void...
