Mega Massive Mexican Mama Miriam: Origins III
[Color coding reminder: Orange text represents spoken Spanish]

Zuleima herself looked rather pale, as if she were seeing a ghost. Nothing made sense to her anymore, and it took a little more prodding from Miriam to get her to snap out of it

"Zuleima! What happened?" Miriam asked, now feeling a little nervous seeing that everyone else left

"I... I don't know" Zuleima said, her hands were shaking, and she struggled to keep her grip on the tablet, which, like the rest of the lab, displayed various warnings as the graphs looked like they went completely bonkers
"Miriam, seriously, how do you feel?" She asked

"I still feel fine, other than being a little hot" Miriam replied with a shrug

"Other than that, are you sure nothing feels different? Or looks different?" Zuleima asked in disbelief at her now towering friend, whose head was close to hitting the ceiling

"Well, this room feels more cramped now, I didn't think 5 inches would make such a difference"

Then, Zuleima stood up and walked towards Miriam, who first had a confused look, but then that confusion was gradually replaced by the feel of sudden realization, when she finally realized that her friend looked much shorter than before...

"Don't tell me" She gasped

"Yeah" Was all Zuleima could say at the moment, herself having no words to really address the ongoing situation.
"Somehow, this went wrong... in a way that I honestly cannot explain" She said after taking a very deep breath. She expected Miriam to be mad at her for endangering her life like this, but she looked more concerned than anything else

"Uh... well, if it helps in any way, I still feel alright, other than, you know... being a bit bigger than before" Miriam said with a slight giggle

"A bit?!" Zuleima couldn't help but chuckle, at least that little joke helped her ease her mood.
"That aside, I think we both need to get out before you hit your head with the ceiling" Zuleima said, heading out of the main room with Miriam following behind her. She was slightly unnerved by the slight shaking from the floor, a result from her increased height and weight, at that scale, she might have already surpassed even Dolores, but with a much larger body to go with those monstrous hips and butt

Suddenly, there was a louder booming noise and the floor shook more than before, Zuleima got knocked off her feet and fell to the floor. She got on her knees and turned to look and couldn't help but be horrified, Miriam herself had fallen to her knees, and the pulsations of her growing body accelerated, giving off a whitish purple aura just like when she had been hit with the second beam. She tried to ask her if she was alright, but at that precise moment, everything suddenly went dark

The laboratory, which was a pretty large and sturdy looking building, burst like if it were made of paper mache, it collapsed into an eruption of dust, smoke and rubble, from which Miriam's titanic silhouette rose, standing taller than the building had been. By her feet, there were several lab employees, many of them only sustained minor injuries, but were startled as they got suddenly flung out in random directions. Then, when they looked up to find what was the cause of it, they were terrified, though some were more awestruck than afraid, as they could see the beauty of the gigantic woman before them. It was surreal, like something that could only ever happen on TV, yet it unfolded before their very eyes

Fortunately, nobody died, but they were all confused and scared. Even Zuleima, who had been pretty much at ground zero, emerged relatively unscathed from a pile of rubble, and she was the one that understood that most of said rubble fell on Miriam herself, which saved her life. She didn't hold this accident against her, specially since it was technically her own fault, but at the same time, her worry grew, she didn't think Miriam could grow that huge, she was easily over 60ft tall, and still growing. Her tablet, to which she had clutched, was also unharmed, and it began beeping even more frantically than before

WARNING! Brain function abnormalities detected! it read, and she tapped the notification to learn more about it. She almost dropped it in horror. She saw that somehow her brain was physically fine but her cognitive functions were decaying, with no indication as to why, nor how to revert it, let alone how to stop it. She had to do something before it was too late

"Miriam!" She called out, and the giant lady apparently got startled, looking around in confusion "Down here!" Miriam then looked down in response, Zuleima was right there, next to her foot. She sighed in relief, she was perhaps the most confused person in this whole mess, and she was still trying to comprehend what had just happened. Following the first thing that came to mind, she crouched and picked Zuleima up, who understandably got scared, but also felt sympathy for her friend after seeing the panicked look in her face

"W-What am I gonna do like this?" Miriam asked in a shaky voice

"I don't know, but flying into a panic won't help, let's try to calm down!" Zuleima replied. Miriam nodded and took a few deep breaths, but it wasn't working, her heart rate was still accelerating. Then, as the police and paramedics had been called, she panicked again and ran away, leaving everyone else baffled about the whole situation. Not really thinking about where to go, Miriam ended up heading downtown, which was quite unfortunate for the people there, as many cars got smashed under her growing feet, even though Miriam wasn't actively trying to destroy anything

"Miriam, what are you doing?!" Zuleima asked, also getting worried that this could get them in serious trouble. As she heard the noises of cars getting crushed and some even exploding, her eyes panicked. If people died, the rest would surely be out for blood, they'd want her, or maybe both of them dead even if it was a genuine accident
"Miriam, you have to stop, right now!" She said in a firmer voice, and surprisingly, her friend obeyed, stopping in her tracks, right as they had reached the very center of the city itself
"Oh boy, this is the last place we should've gone to" She sighed. Miriam walked around more carefully, but people were already running and screaming. Zuleima also noticed that while all of this happened, Miriam had grown much, much larger, and roughly estimated that in the 10 or 15 minutes she had been running from the lab to the center of the city she'd easily grown to around 300ft tall

The people's screams, the cars' alarms and in general, the chaotic cacophony that ensued from her unexpected arrival wasn't helping Miriam's already weakened psyche, she was getting scared, she thought that maybe they'd try to kill her, but most importantly, she could feel something she couldn't quite describe, like she was losing her grip, but not like she was losing her sanity, it was more like it was getting increasingly difficult to think, at least to think complex thoughts. As if some primal force, buried in the deepest recesses of her mind was now reawakening and slowly but surely taking over

"I think we should head somewhere secluded, where there are no people to hurt on accident" Zuleima suggested after turning on a communication system that the nanomachines had built in, allowing Miriam to hear her voice. But this time, it looked like her voice didn't reach her. Zuleima wondered if the system was malfunctioning, but she verified that it was working as intended. Then, without any warning, Miriam walked over to a nearby skyscraper and gently deposited her on the roof

"You should go home while you can" Miriam said, surprising her friend by her sudden use of Spanish.

"Sure, but what are you gonna do?" Zuleima replied.

"I... I don't know. But I don't want to die" Miriam said, looking down, seeing that more police and ambulances were heading to where she had unintentionally wreaked havoc. She began walking away, and Zuleima now could see that as she walked, she was still growing

'Strange, she still understands English, but somehow lost the ability to speak it?' Zuleima noted, glancing at her tablet again, which kept on warning about decaying brain functions. Still, there wasn't much that could be done now, she needed to get back and salvage whatever she could from her lab and work from there, but the first thing she had to do was to get down from the building she had been placed on, which was a mild annoyance, but she understood

'Not how I wanted to spend the summer, mind you' She thought as she went through a door that was thankfully left unlocked. She went downstairs and looked for an elevator, which she quickly found. About 15 minutes later, she was finally at ground level and headed out of the building. Just then, there was an even more massive quake than those she experienced before, plus the noises of cars getting crushed and exploding, followed by gunfire noises, which made her eyes widen in panic

She didn't even have to reach for her phone to find out the cause of those noises, as on a large screen on the building in front she could see that there were live news, covering the event of a "giant monster woman" as they called Miriam surrounded by police as she was heading out of the city. She facepalmed hard
'How stupid do they have to be?! She was getting away, now you're scaring her!' She thought, taking another glance at her tablet, which showed that Miriam's heart was going crazy, and that adrenaline was being detected in her bloodstream. The police officers opened fire on her, but the bullets failed to penetrate her flesh, simply flattening against it upon impact, which she found odd, along with the officers themselves
'Now that's a side effect if I've seen one' She thought

Even though the cars were like toy cars to her scale, surrounded by them, Miriam felt legitimately threatened, which only accelerated her mental decay. And at this moment of panic and fear for her life, there was one thought in particular that emerged in her mind.

"My baby" She said "Where's my baby?"

The police officers were all baffled, as none of them had any idea what she was saying. Zuleima's eyes opened wider than ever, as she understood
