History's Haughty Hiccups [Part III] Giantess/Shrinking & Farts chapter 5 by RandomAnon

[Flashback continues]

[Note: It can be assumed that most of the time, Isabel will speak to Blaise in Spanish unless non-English speakers take active part in the conversation. And as a reminder, Lillian, Jen and Zuemy all are fluent in it]

Moments later, in the girl's bathroom...

Isabel washed her face in an attempt to quicken her recovery, Jen's punch from their earlier fight messed her up considerably.

"That despicable brute, how dare she?" She huffed and it sounded like she was fighting back the urge to throw up.

"Perhaps trying to beat a barbarian at her strongest suite wasn't the best approach, my Lady" Marcia said with a soft tone, yet having the slightest hint of admonishment in that polite, submissive voice.

"Well, I can't blamed for trying to impress" Isabel huffed "In my defense, we fought in a cramped classroom. Had I had enough space to maneuver I would've wiped the floor with that bag of grease" Marcia then patted her back and the two took some more time until Isabel felt good enough to leave and continue with the day.

2 hours later, back to you...

With that last "bell" chime lunch time was announced, the only guaranteed relief from the relentless flow of one class after another with study hall sessions being the only other one although not guaranteed daily. Teachers no-showing for class was a thing but it varied from teacher to teacher. Lulu was such an example, she virtually never missed a class as far as you could recall. Students rushed as usual and even your friends did so even though there was plenty of food in the cafeteria, plus Dolores always gave them extra. You took your time and went to your locker to put away your stuff, wanting some peace and quiet because even though you loved your friends, their antics were a bit much at times.

On top of that, you sensed that something shifted ever since that fateful History class, there was this vague sense that neither Jen nor Lillian wanted to leave you out of sight or earshot until now that hunger compelled them. Sometimes you wondered what choices you made that led you to this life. Not a bad one but one that was surely full of complexities... Then again, everyone probably had plenty of struggles of their own and only a telepath could possibly kn-

"Hey!" Isabel cut off your train of thought by firmly placing a hand on the locker next to yours. Sheesh, this girl had a need to make her presence known.

"What is it now?" You asked with an annoyed groan. It wasn't even worth pretending that this didn't bother you even though you probably wouldn't go full confrontational about it.

"Hmm? What's wrong? You sounded like I offended you" Isabel smirked "I only picked a fight with the northern cow, not you"

You gave her a deadpan stare for a solid 5 or 6 seconds. She... she didn't even seem to realize just how condescending she had been to you the entire time or worse, she didn't care that she was. You then sighed, this was even less worth your time and effort than it had been before.

"I don't think it's a good idea to continue with this charade but still, I'll ask: what do you want out of me to stop having a problem?"

"Problem? Pfft, who's talking about a problem?" She laughed and as you turned, she got very close to you. She was about a head shorter, yet her presence made you feel pinned against the locker, somehow not needing sheer physique as Lillian or Maggie would need.

"But since you asked, I've got some suggestions... for your own sake, of course" She grabbed you by the chin once more but this time, you slowly moved your hand to push hers aside, meeting a surprising amount of resistance.

"You could brush up your Castilian and set aside that outdated dialect that this school taught you. I can teach you the proper forms" She said looking you in the eye with that same smug grin, though now you weren't sure if it was truly malicious "I could bring you to Church with me too, that would be nice" As she said that, she showed you an ornate and very elaborate cross made of gold encrusted with some precious stones, it definitely looked like an old medieval relic that she wore on a necklace, also made of gold.

"Okay, okay, now hold on" You said, finally pushing her hand aside.

"For starters: School didn't teach me Spanish, my parents did... and my grandparents, I suppose" You said "Secondly, I'm not really much of a churchgoer, thank you very much. I've only gone like a handful of times to accompany grandma but that's it, you're not bringing me anywhere for that matter"

"Aw. I guess it will take more 'convincing' then. No problem, I can be patient~" She said as she traced small circles with a finger on your chest.

"Are you done?" You sighed again.

"Not really. I was wondering what are you doing all the way up here, you know?" She then casually asked.

"Really? A Mexican? A Mexican in California? Is this somehow a surprise to you?" You replied with a deadpan tone and a slight hint of snark in your voice.

"Oh no! No, not at all, hah... A generic Mexican in California? Sure, I get" She chuckled and did more of those circling motions on your chest with her finger "I meant you specifically. Aren't you pretty far from the Valley of Mexico?"

One thing that made you pause is that she seemed to walk the line between idiotic ignorance and somehow knowing her stuff when it came to targeting you. You had almost expected her to claim that you were from Mexico City, which to be fair would be the default assumption for anyone upon being told that you're a descendant of the Aztecs, it makes sense after all of you ignored your entire family's history as to how you ended up born and raised here in Storm Valley. Still, you didn't want to keep doing this dance with her.

"Yeah, made a wrong turn at Albuquerque. Hell of a turn; in fact, just like one might have taken on the way to Madrid to end up in here"

It was a light jab at best but you hoped that she got the message and instead, she merely giggled and caressed your face with that same smug, bratty condescension that had already bothered you before.

"Touché. I suppose people can end up in Burgerland for plenty of reasons. The so-called 'American Dream' yadda yadda"  She shrugged "You're not wrong that I should be back in Spain but alas, my parents would rather make more money than press our royalty claims" She sighed and shook her head dramatically. You even wondered if this girl did theater before.

"Why don't we go get some lunch and get to know each other a bit better?" She said.

And just before you could speak, you saw Cindy walk towards you with a look of genuine curiosity. Most likely, the girls asked her to come check in on you as to what was taking you so long to join them. Isabel immediately reached for the wooden rapier that hung over her left leg but you caught her wrist with a strong grip that not even you had consciously thought of.

"Whoah! We're not doing this again!" You said, glaring at her "Jen could defend herself but you're not hitting Cindy with that thing, she's harmless"

"Oh please, do you really care for that bloated manatee?" Isabel scoffed and you only replied with a quiet growl and by tightening your hand's grip on her wrist.

"Alright, alright!" She huffed and shook her head disapprovingly, letting go of the sword's handle as you let go of her wrist "I didn't take you to be a man of such unrefined taste. Although I don't think you're beyond hope yet. Looking forward to our next meeting because trust me, there will be a next one"

"Just hoof it before you get another round with Jen" You said dryly. Upon hearing that, you saw that her eyes widened for a split second before she turned tail and practically ran away. There was something hilarious about having such a fearful response to someone like Jen but you knew that she earned it for sure. When Cindy arrived next to you, Isabel was already across the hallway and you were chuckling quietly.

"She was up to something again, wasn't she?" Cindy asked.

"Yeah, basically. But the threat of Jen coming back got her running with her tail between her legs" You said

"I was hoping I scared her" Cindy giggled and stuck her tongue out.

"You're too sweet to scare someone that stubborn" You added.

"Hey! I could sit on her and she wouldn't be able to get up" She cutely faked a pout.

"True, true" You laughed "You'd dirty your clothes though"

"Meh, who cares" Cindy shrugged "Hey, I know I'm not much of a fighter like Jen or even Lillian but do you think I could beat her in a fist fight?"

"I mean, Jen kinda folded her like a lawn chair and she wasn't even trying so, probably" You laughed again.

"I was thinking that I could pull off a Majin Buu against her, you know? Like when Vegeta fought him? She'd just punch my belly and her hand would sink..."

"Ooh, yeah that's a good one! But you're missing the Change Beam for the finisher" You added.

"True! But I dunno if I'd want to eat her, I wouldn't want to get her bitchiness" Cindy giggled.

"Very fair point. Alright, let's go have lunch!" You said and along with Cindy towards the cafeteria...

Genuinely pretty curious to see where this goes.

These are basically lore chapters to give Isabel a more solid foundation as she lacks the extensive backstory of the main 4 girls and some other secondary chars. Eventually it will lead into sizey scenarios.
