Soon, you hear Lillian's house's door open and the two women come out rather hurriedly.
"I said I was sorry, I just had forgotten to sign these papers that the principal requested..." Sheila said to a grumbling Lillian
"Oh, hey there. Good morning sweetie" She kindly greeted you
"Good morning" You greeted her back politely.
It was funny, as your mom's best friend, she'd always been your unofficial aunt, spending almost as much time with you as some of your actual aunts. But despite this extensive familiarity, ever since you got older, possibly after you turned 12 or 13, you started feeling really embarrassed whenever she asked you to call her auntie. You weren't even sure why, maybe it should naturally come out, or maybe there was already a dissonance within your head, as you couldn't completely match the mental image of her as an aunt when she sometimes teased you in ways reminiscent of Lillian's.
"Aww, I miss the days when you used to call me 'auntie' without getting all bashful" Sheila pretended to pout, but she laughed and sat on the driver's seat. You couldn't help but notice how the car sunk under her weight, and how much space her truly gigantic derriere took up. She caught you by surprise by wrapping her right arm around your neck to press your head into her chest, basically an one-armed hug.
"I'm sorry... it's really difficult for me... auntie..." You said with an apologetic laugh and decided to try and humor her anyway. You knew that this kind of small thing might be one of the highlights of her day. You knew you definitely hit the mark as her eyes instantly lit up, and she gave you a big kiss on the cheek, also instantly turning you beet red.
"How sweet!" She giggled and petted your head with her hand. Her smile said it all. She soon let go of her hug and Lillian got in the car as well.
There was some mild arguing/bantering between the two thick ladies as Lillian chastised her mom for leaving important stuff for the last moment and for being absent-minded with work and school, but she also knew this was just her personality, and there was little to do to change it. You three also talked a bit about how you were doing in school. Almost as if a deity up there took pity on you, your ride to school was surprisingly spared from any flatulence from the gassy duo, a very rare occurrence indeed, but a much appreciated one.
Time flew, and before you realized, you finally had arrived to school. So, what comes next is...
