"Cool" You replied with a shrug. Getting driven beat walking or going in the school bus, though on the other hand, that eliminated most chances of encountering Jen along the way. But it was pointless to be bothered by that kind of thing when you'd get to spend most of your school day with her anyway, albeit not entirely by yourselves.

Lillian walked back to her house while you headed for her mom's car. As you had guessed, its doors were already unlocked, and also guessed that it was probably Lillian's doing. Strangely enough, despite her extremely laid-back and carefree personality, she was pretty punctual, and it was clear that the trait either skipped a generation or it came from her dad's side, as Sheila was nearly the complete opposite. Then again, she didn't even seem to take her job too seriously, and she treated it almost like a freelancing thing or a side job, or at least, that's how it's sounded when you've talked to her. Shaking your head at the dissonance between mother and daughter, you open the copilot's seat's door and promptly sit down, then pull your phone to check your class schedule and browse some memes. You could hear Lillian shouting inside her home, probably urging her mom to get out of the bathroom already, or to finish her breakfast quickly. You quietly chuckle and just wait...
