A suspiciously nice nap
[Continuity note: This is an alternate outcome and it ignores the last 3 paragraphs from the previous chapter]

You reviewed each possible option more than once, but in the end, none of them convinced you. Yamile, you didn't want to drag into this mess, and as for the other girls you simply lacked the energy to deal with their flirty antics. Plus, someone like Bailey would be even more insistent on helping you than your friends. With a frustrated sigh, you put your phone back in your side pocket and leaned back on the steel bench, gazing up at the sky, its usual blue was now more of a purplish tone with strongly orange parts, as a result of the setting sun.

It felt as if thinking about all of that and the brainpower used in the process took a toll on your dwindling energy reserves. Despite it being a fairly large city with a population to match, this area at least at this specific time was surprisingly peaceful and quiet, only a few cars passed by, people going home from work or school most likely. There weren't many people walking around either, you being by yourself at the bus stop further proved it.

You were so tired that the most reasonable option right now seemed to be to just nap and recover some strength, then head back home... but napping by yourself in a public place with no one watching also looked like an invitation to getting your stuff stolen or getting robbed, at least that's what you'd been taught. But your body desperately needed rest, so you looked around, hugged your backpack as tightly as you could and closed your eyes, allowing your beaten and fatigue conscious to drift away into the land of the unconscious.

Meanwhile...

"Do you really think he went straight home going by the usual path?" Jen questioned Lillian as the two walked.
"He... doesn't get hints easily, but he's not stupid"

"It's not about being stupid, but I literally saw the fatigue in his eyes" Lillian explained "I don't think he has the strength to make any detours, by the look of it, he could barely walk home at best, and even then I'm not sure, I'm actually worried he might faint on the way there" Lillian said, surprisingly in a completely serious tone that would clash with her usual playful and smug attitude under any other circumstances.

"He looked a bit pale, but how are you so sure he's that weakened right now?" Jen asked with genuine curiosity.

"The whites of his eyes, they weren't exactly white, they were yellowish" Lillian said as the two stopped at a crosswalk and waited for the traffic light across the street to turn green.

"Somehow I don't think he has something like hepatitis" Jen tapped her chin in thought.

"That's not the only thing that can make your eyes yellow" Lillian said "Blood loss can also cause it. Remember those nasty bruises on his ribs? Plus, I haven't seen him eating lunch this whole week, he might be somewhat starved too"

Jen's eyes widened. She didn't think Lillian paid that much attention in Science class, and was also amazed at how observant she could be when it came to you. However, as she also recalled this entire week, she realized that she never saw you eating anything on lunch time either.

"Don't you think he's just eating at home?" Jen asked, not because she doubted Lillian but simply because she considered that possibility.

"He could be, but it's not nearly enough, and if he's been getting beaten badly enough to have actual symptoms, I feel that he's not doing that either, I think it's most likely he just goes home, does his homework, showers and then crashes into sleep" Lillian explained.

"Wow... you weren't kidding when you said you've been friends since kindergarten" Jen noted.

"Hah! It goes even further back. According to our moms, we've known each other since we were like a month old!" Lillian replied with a hint of pride "Funnily enough, I was his semi official translator because for some reason he was mute up until 3 years old" She chuckled and Jen showed some more surprise.

"I remember his mom saying something about him not speaking much when he was little, something about pointing at things to tell what he wanted" Jen blushed a little as she pictured you as a toddler, which she knew about thanks to Lillian herself, she had seen some pictures.

"So, yeah... if it's something about him, I'm the expert" Lillian boasted.

The traffic lights then turned green and the duo resumed their walk. Following the same path as you did earlier, they eventually reached the bus stop near the shopping mall and found you in deep sleep, tightly clutching your backpack to your chest though. Their eyes widened in surprise, even Lillian, who was half expecting something like this to happen. They walked towards you, unsure how asleep you were but they noticed you weren't reacting to the sound of their steps at least. Lillian decided to test you by tugging at your backpack but even in your sleep, your grip on it was firm enough not to budge easily. She then looked at your face and couldn't find anything that'd indicate you were awake.

"I guess this is how much strength he had left" She whispered to Jen. She then thought of something naughty yet oddly wholesome "Hey, do you wanna score some extra points with him?" She asked with a smug, kinda suggestive look that Jen knew it meant she was up to no good. But such an opportunity was too good to pass up, so Jen nodded and began to blush more and more as Lillian whispered her idea into her ear.

Some time later...

Pitch black darkness. This is what you could sense when you went into a dreamless sleep, and this was one of such times. Your mind was mostly shut down, and you were barely conscious, yet, some things like feeling your hands gripping your backpack remained. Suddenly, you noticed a pleasant warmth coming from the right side of your face, and it was pressed into something soft. It felt really nice, and your sore body craved feeling something like it, leagues better than the cold, hard bench you were resting on. Still vaguely conscious, nowhere near being awake, you rolled a little to the right to get comfortable...

"Ohmygod!" Jen whispered as quietly as she could manage while getting beet red as you were sleeping with your head on her bountiful chest, using it like a pillow as Lillian suggested, who gave her a thumbs up by the way. You then rolled a little and slowly let go of your backpack, hugging her in your sleep.

Jen hadn't gotten nearly as many chances to get this close to you physically, especially if compared to Lillian who was very touchy feely with you. But she was pleased to see that it was working out well, lightly caressing your hair while you kept sleeping, it was crystal clear that her bosom was far more pleasant than the metal bench, which then again, was probably a low bar but she felt glad nonetheless.

Several minutes later, you began to slowly stir awake. Whatever that mysterious warm pillow was, it helped reinvigorate you, at least enough to be able to get back home. You took a deep breath and yawned softly, gradually opening your eyes. Your blurry vision quickly regained its focus, but what you saw was far from what you expected: Jen's face above you and it didn't take you long to realize that you had been, and still were, resting on her prodigiously sized chest.

'Huh?! Is this... a dream?' You thought with a look of pure, unadulterated confusion as her gorgeous hazel eyes locked with yours. You also saw the blush on her face and heard her giggling. It sounded too real though. You closed your eyes and shook your head, but the gentle warmth coming off her body and the soft, squishy mass your head was still resting on felt too real, those feelings weren't fading.

'But why would Jen be hugging me like this?' You thought in confusion, opening your eyes again to the sight of her pretty face and her eyes staring intently into yours.

"Hey" Jen spoke softly, caressing your hair with a hand "Had a nice nap?" She giggled, her blush intensified even as she teased you. At this moment, the realization that this was all real hit you like a full bucket of ice water. You got startled and tried to jump away from her, but her hug tightened, keeping you in place. You then heard Lillian having a good chuckle, her voice came from behind you.

"Is that all you've got to say after you used her like a body pillow?" Lillian taunted you, making you shudder as the entirety of your arms got goosebumps and you blushed even more intensely than Jen.

"Wait a minute, what are you even doing here?!" You asked, having taken a quick look around, finding that you were still at the bus stop.

"Isn't it obvious? We came for you" Jen replied "Lillian was right, you were in no shape to get back home and we were worried something may happen to you"

You closed your eyes for a moment and sighed "But there was no need-"

"The 3 of us are lucky that it we who found you!" Lillian said, and it sounded like she was pouting "What do you think would've happened if someone who hated you found you like this, huh? Asleep and alone, and not even at school" Having Lillian scolding you felt so strange, you never thought she'd have this sort of vibe.

"Hey, we're not mad at you" Jen said soothingly, seeing the look on your face.

"Maybe you should be" You sighed, looking away "I didn't try hard enough to push you two away" you lamented.

"There it is again" Lillian said "The Blaise I know wouldn't do that to his friends. But even if you try, you're not getting rid of us easily!" She added with a more playful tone, and even though you couldn't see her, you were sure she was now sporting her characteristic smug grin.

"Care to explain exactly what's going on?" Jen asked. You knew you were surrounded and literally couldn't escape, Jen was already stronger than you at full health, in the miserable state you were right now, there was no way you could break free from her hug, but more importantly, you weren't heartless enough to try such a stunt again.
