Just as Juli is about to check her foot, Kim calls her over, destroying Jim’s hope of being saved. “Come on, Juli, our shifts are starting.”
“Oh, right” Juli says and leaves the dressing room, deciding that whatever’s under her foot feels nice to walk on.
After a painful amount of squishing and squelching later, Juli jumps into a pool to help a kid. With all the motion and the water, Jim miraculously peels off Juli’s sole and floats to the surface of the water, reinflating within seconds. The last of Jim’s luck forced a wave to carry him onto the cement, back to square one.
