Jim would have preferred if Juli had managed to notice you, or anyone else who were swimming around the pool. But Lady Luck decided she was just not done playing with you just yet.
A large shadow loomed over you, and Jim instinctively shuddered, somehow already knowing who was behind him. Still he looked behind and even already knowing who it was instinctively, he still shudder from fear as he saw Kim tower over him.
Kim: "Well, well, well. Look who managed to get off of their partners foot. You know, you do realize as a new member of the lifeguard you have to stick with your partner at all times, right?" Damnit. She was right. "And do you know what usually happens if a new member doesn't follow that rule?" Jim racked his brain. Usually the punishment would be incremental and depends on how many days they have worked for the pool. Considering it's his first day on the job, it would be a slap on a wrist before more serious punishments would be used. But considering Kim was the person who was talking about punishments to him.......
Kim: "I know you're a smart cookie, and I know what the rules dictate. Now usually I would have taken you to Melissa for her to make the final judgement. But.......I have something much better in plan?"
Jim: "And what would that be?"
Kim smiled, grabbed Jim, and lifted him right to her face.
Kim: "Weeeeeeeeell..........."
