He runs, looking at the shadow and not following the edge of the seat. Suddenly he finds himself inches from the edge and almost flies off before pulling on the brakes. Flipping around, he sees the girl's butt fall onto the seat in front of him with a loud thud. He did it! He is still alive!
His happiness is short-lived though. The girl has in fact sat down but is not completely on the seat. She begins to slide backwards, righto to where Phil is standing. He starts to back up, but because he isn't watching the edge behind him, his feet slip. He has no space as her butt brushes up against her face. In a desperate attempt not to fall to his death, he latches unto to the belt buckle of her jeans.
Dangling for his life, he strategies. He knows he can't hold on for too long, so immediate action is needed. He looks down and notices her purse. It is about half the distance to him as the floor, and he could try to fall into that without getting hurt. Alternatively, he could try to climb her back up to the table. Which does he do?
