Phil suddenly feels a monstrous force pushing down on. What the hell is she doing to me this time, Phil thinks. He slides over to where the pressure is a little less intense and contemplates what she might be doing. He hears the television turn on and then realizes that she is just sitting on her couch, watching TV. She must have forgotten about him in her conversation with Amanda. This relieves Phil as she probably won’t be torturing him anymore, but then he also realizes how insignificant he was to her that she just forgot about him after a few minutes on the phone.
Phil sits there as the droning from the television rages on. After a while, it gets pretty boring just sitting there in the dark, and he drifts off into sleep. The fabric he is lying on kinda forms a hammock for him that is rather comfortable. He is started out of sleep however as she moves and her weight no longer compresses on him, causing him to slide around. He hears the television turn off and Ms. Prittey leave. Presumably, she’s going to bed herself.
This could be the perfect time for Phil to leave, but it could be a trap to get him out of his protection to catch him. Does he risk it?
