Saved by the Ring My name is Phil Tiny chapter 15 by copier · original author: swp1

Suddenly, the telephone rings.

Much to Phil's relief, Ms. Prittey drops the couch and heads over to answer the phone. Phil is safe! For now at least...

"Hello," Ms. Prittey answers, annoyed. "Oh hey Amanda. I'm doing well what about you? I haven't spoken with you for a while..."

Ms. Prittey's demeanor instantly changed from annoyance to niceness as she conversed with her friend.

Phil took this as an opportunity to reevaluate his position. He was too afraid of leaving the safety of the couch and risk being seen but knew that he needed to hide him better if he was to remain undiscovered much longer. Above him, the couch was lined with a thin fabric that must have protected it from dust or something. He ripped a little hole into it and climbed up. It formed a little space about the same size as where he was before under the couch between this fabric and the couch frame above him, and more importantly he now was safely hidden inside the couch to prevent easy spotting from the outside.

He sat down in his new-found spot and decided to wait things out. He listened as Ms. Prittey chatted for an incredibly long time about their days, shoes, random cute guys, etc. Eventually, Ms. Prittey wished her a goodbye and hung up.

"Now what was I doing?" Ms. Prittey asks herself in a cheery mood. Phil hears her walk over to the couch and gulps.
