Before you stood…a monument to your powerlessness. The filthy rubber treads of a tennis shoe, caked with at least a year of dirt and grime, most of the specks larger than you. Beyond that was the shoe itself, colored light violet and overall clean to the normal eye, to your newly found perception of the world, it was filthy enough to be a tad disgusted. The mere size of it was indescribable at best, mountain seemed…too small a word, yet not quite planet-sized either…a sort of middle ground between those two sizes. Your mouth was agape simply from looking at it, it hadn't even registered yet that there was a person wearing this astronomically large shoe. You just stood there, dazed and dumbfounded by the mere size of the simplest things of the world now. You looked to your own shoes, then the pair before you, it was hard to accept they were once the same…no…your feet were actually probably bigger once. Now your entire body didn't even measure up to the dirt on its sole.
Voices snapped you from the daze, loud, booming voices that seemed to come from the very heavens themselves. Was it the voices of God? No…Goddess would be more appropriate, the voices were magnified beyond comprehension, but still clearly feminine. There were a few of them…six…or more…? It was hard to tell for certain. Boy you wished you could describe this to your friends….wait…friends?
All distracting thoughts of shock vanished in an instant as the cold, hard truth set in. You shivered as the realization hit you with full force at long last. You had shrunken…and not just a few inches like before…but several…hundred inches…At least it felt like it. It started to come back…the bus…ugh…you already knew what it was. The one bus driver who barely held onto his job. He had a record of speeding and racing illegally, but unfortunately, the schools funding made him their only option. Plus his sob stories usually got to the Principal. The compromise was that he was at the front of the bus line. He was by no means a bad driver, but better safe than sorry. He had a clean record for hitting people…til now. Just your luck…
How small could it have made you? There was no way he built up enough speed…then again…with your condition there was no exact science. It was probably just enough to kill you and you just got unlucky. Either way, here you were, easily less than a tenth of an inch tall, before this grand shoe that seemed unbelievably big. You shuddered moments before realizing you recognized the shoe, having seen it a few times. Peering upwards you caught a glimpse of a brown ankle; further on up it was confirmed. The Goddess you were staring at spoke and her voice told you the same thing her body did. It was Jaz, one of your black friends. In fact, one of your best friends; and she was towering over you as this planetary-sized Goddess. No matter how hard you strained your neck you couldn't go past her hips; but you imagined her chest blocked her face anyway.
Another voice came from far above, just behind you. You turned to a pair of black sandals, towering just as high as the treads with toes that honestly looked big enough to fit a city on…or twelve. You didn't even have to try and guess as to who this was; you spent many a day admiring everything about this girl. Lakin, and she was talking to Jaz…actually…more voices popped out. Looking around you spotted a good pair of shoes as big as the others, and coming from them was the immense figures of your admittedly gorgeous, Goddess-like friends: Jaz, Lakin, Cris, Kelly, Lilith, Ashei, and Diane. All no doubt worried over you. Thankfully their voices weren't magnified to the point you couldn't understand them.
"Where'd he go?!" Jaz quickly asked everyone.
Cris was the first to respond, "I don't know!"
"I think he shrank…" Kelly muttered.
"What! We gotta find him!"
"How?" Ashei looked to the others.
"Crouch and start looking!"
Diane made a worried expression, "Oh God, what if I stepped on him…?"
"Check your shoes!" Cris exclaimed. Each girl promptly checked, of course you weren't beneath any feet quite yet, though Lakin's came dangerously close on the way back down. The booms of all their feet as they simply placed them on the ground made you concerned at your size even more. Once it was made clear you weren't decorating anyone's soles the gang bent over to look for you. Naturally you started jumping to try and get their attention; but dude…did you have a nice view.
Diane, Cris, Ashei, and Lakin were all wearing revealing shirts; and bent over…you caught sight of the most enormous breasts imaginable. Valleys of absolute beauty you could live and worship forever, especially Lakin's…you drooled a bit just thinking about it. At least this has some positives. You told yourself optimistically. The others may not have had the shirts…but their butts looked pretty good from there too. Jaz by far had the best one though. You laughed at the stereotype regarding black girls proven true. Hell, you actually looked at a couple of the pairs of feet (Mainly Lakin's of course) and felt a bit attracted by them! Obviously shrinking was bad but…seeing girls liked this kicked ass…There was no denying it, hormones were going off right now and frankly, they helped perk you up a lot. You grinned and jumped up and down hyperly.
"Guys! Over here!" You cried as loud as you could. None of the gang reacted though. You were too small to try to communicate from a distance. Thankfully they were looking for you though. Jump enough and you were sure to be saved from God-knows-what.
Easier said than done though, the pebbles decorating the street were bigger than you, and your black shirt did little to make you stand out. To help boost your odds you actually took it off, dealing with the chills of the smaller world as waved your arms and shirt around. Minutes passed and things started to look bleak…people passed looking at your dear friends scanning the ground like they were weirdoes. Having thought they searched your spot enough; the group dispersed a bit, and of course didn't find you wherever they were. The only person remotely close to you was Kelly, the one person you were hardly friends with. But anyone was better than no one; you devoted yourself to trying to gain her attention. Her glasses said she had bad eyesight, that didn't help morale any.
But whether it was chance, or plain dumb-luck, Kelly turned to look directly at you. "Hmm?" She turned around and carefully crawled towards you. Miles and miles away you heard Jaz's voice ring out, "Anyone find him?" The universal answer was no, only Kelly didn't respond. She crawled until her hands were just before you. Then…
