With Kelly right before you everything seemed okay. You'd be found. Your friends would make sure everything would be okay...And you can work on adapting to this size. Try to make the best out of a bad situation.
But fate had different things in store.
Your happiness at being so close to being found blinded you to one key thing, the booms that were footsteps. Someone was approaching, and it was only one boom that you heard. In fact, it was the the boom of the foot as it came down on top of you.
BOOM!!!
At your new size it should've killed you. However, fate just kept liking to mess with you. Discarded gum, that was what saved you. Old gum on the bottom of this person's shoe. You were trapped beneath the sole of footwear, alive within a void of pink, pre-chewed and stepped on gunk. It was so sudden you didn't have time to properly process it. You just wondered who was it that messed things up for you? Who did fate choose to snatch you away from safety?
