"Well... School's starting soon, so I gotta run!" Hotaru exclaimed, words coming out so fast you almost couldn't follow them. For a second, you thought that meant that Hotaru had conceded your point, and she was making the journey to school a solo trip.

And then the next second, you found yourself snatched up off the floor, held tightly between Hotaru's hands after she finished securing her backpack.

"Wait! Hotaru?!"

"No time for talking, Shujin, we're gonna be late!"

And so, you found yourself in the unique experience of being taken to school by someone else; though not by a school bus, or being driven by a parent.

Nope, you found yourself pressed against the brown fabric of Hotaru's blazer- your tomboy friend had always insisted that she preferred the blazer/slacks combo over the distractingly short skirts that most of the girls wore.

"Hotaru! Slow down! Have you even given any thought to what you're going to do with me when we're at school?!"

"Uh..." The eloquent response from your friend told you that she hadn't. Great.

"Seriously, people are going to question why a girl like you is showing up at school with a Shujin-shaped doll! And then they'll ask questions... and what do you think is going to happen if the principal or the disciplinary committee find out that you shrunk one of your classmates?

That was a sentence you never thought you would've said in your life, but this was a strange day.

"I-I can't... they might take you away..."

"It's not too late, Hotaru. It won't take more than a couple of minutes to run back to your lab! Just drop me off their, I'll wait for you to come back after school!"

"No!"

You'd forgotten how stubborn your best friend could be when she put her mind to something.

"Don't worry, Shujin! I'll keep you safe! E-even if I have to-"


1) Keep you in my backpack all day!"
2) Keep you under my shirt all day! (Hotaru unbuttons her blazer and shirt, pressing you against her bare stomach before buttoning her shirt and blaze back up.
