Though you spend most of the school day only half paying attention to the lessons in class, you still do well enough to answer your teachers. Still, you don't get much out of the first half of the day, as your mind is focused on a much more important matter than homework or lectures from your teachers. Namely, figuring out a plan on how to prove to Izumi that you will make good on your promise and get into her good graces.

And after racking your brain for what felt like forever, you managed to come up with a plan that you felt had a solid chance of succeeding (assuming everything went right.) The first step involved proving to Izumi that there was more to you than she realized. Up until now she viewed you as nothing more than her annoying, perverted neighbor. That needed to change and fast. So, you figured that best way to do that was to show her that A) you were a responsible young man with a part time job, and B) you could use the skills gained from working at said job to offer her a free bowl, hand-made by you!

Of course, whether or not she took you up on her offer was all dependent on her mood. There was a not insignificant chance that she'd turn you down out of spite. But as the saying went: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Plus, you were fairly confident in your cooking skills; all thanks to your seasoned boss's instruction and confirmed by all the satisfied customers you'd served in the many months since you'd started working for him.

The second step was going to be much harder, as it involved you somehow convincing Izumi to let you into her house to help fix her window blinds. On top of the fact that you were on very then ice with her at the moment, there was no reason for her to believe that you could even fix her blinds. Honestly, she was more likely to believe that you were trying to come up with some kind of scheme to get into her room and steal her underwear or something similarly perverted.

But even so, you were certain that given the chance you could fix her blinds. After years of looking after the house while your parents were away, you'd gotten quite skilled at household maintenance. More importantly, you figured that there was no better way to persuade her of your change of heart by fixing her blinds, which eliminated the option of you being able to peep on her all together.

It went without saying that this train of thought was best left unspoken, you didn't want Izumi thinking that you were faking being nice to get into her skirt or something. You'd just have to hope that Izumi would be in a listening mood after eating your ramen. If she even took you up on your offer of free food, that was.

*DING-DONG DONG-DING*

The lunch bell sounded off overhead, signaling to you that it was time to lay all your cards on the table and hope for the best. Ready to put your plan into action, you got off your seat and headed off to find Izumi. Fortunately, it didn't take you long to find her a few classrooms down the hallway, sitting at her desk with a particularly annoyed frown on her lovely face.

You took a deep breath, mustering up your courage, and made your way towards her.

---------------

"Ugh, I can't believe this!" Izumi fumed to herself, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration. "I can't believe I forgot to bring my lunch with me today!"

She was in such a rush to confront Shujin about his peeping on her this morning that she must have left her lunch in the fridge. What's even worse is that she was so mad about it that she forgot to even eat breakfast this morning!

*Grumble*

Izumi paced a hand on her toned midriff. "Sooo hungry.." she moaned.

"Uh..H-Hey Izumi."

An annoyed tick mark appeared on Izumi's forehead as she turned in the direction of that familiar, and right now very unwelcome voice. "This better be important Kou. I'm hungry, I don't have my lunch with me, and I'm in a very bad mood."

Hearing this actually seem to make Shujin perk up, as if he just heard some good news.

"Oh, you forgot your lunch? Well then how about I treat you to a bowl of ramen?"

Izumi blinked in surprise by Shujin's offer, then narrowed her eyes in suspicion. "If this is some kind of bribe-"

"No, nothing like that. I just want a chance to prove to you I meant what I said. And I want to make it up to you for all the times I... wronged you. That's all I'm asking, just a chance. But I'll understand if you just want to be alone right now."

Izumi examined him carefully for a moment. She'd give him some credit for the fact that the entire time he'd been speaking, his eyes never once wandered away from her eyes, giving much more evidence to the fact that he might be sincere. Plus-

*Grumble*

She was really hungry, so it would've been foolish of her to turn down an offer of free food.

"*Sigh* Alright."

Shujin pumped his fist in victory and whispered loudly "Yes!"

She stood up and pointed a finger right in his face. "But don't go getting any ideas that this is a date or something like that buster! The only reason I'm even agreeing to this is because I'm too damn hungry to complain where I get my food from! So just shut up and lead me to the ramen!"

Shujin wasn't even that bother by Izumi's bossy demeanor as he escorted her to the ramen stand with no complaints. After a short walk off school grounds, they came across a charming little mobile ramen booth with a middle-aged gentleman seeing off another satisfied customer. His eyes lit up when he saw who was approaching his booth next.

"Shujin! Good to see ya my boy!" he greeted with friendly wave.

Shujin waved back. "Hey there boss!"

Izumi raised an inquisitive eyebrow. "Boss?"

Shujin rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. This is where I work part-time. This is my boss, Hatake Inosuke."

"A pleasure little missy." the ramen chef said with a welcoming smile and bow.

Izumi had to admit, she was not expecting this. She never would've thought that her perverted neighbor not only had a job but would've also built up a friendly relationship with his boss. And the aroma that was coming from the small kitchen was heavenly.

*Grumble*

Izumi blushed in embarrassment as she placed both hands over her loud stomach, which made Inosuke let out a good-natured chuckle.

"Sounds like somebody's hungry. Well come on over and take a seat little missy! For first time customers, the first bowl is always free!"

"I..Uh..Thank you." was all Izumi could say as she sat down on a small stool, completely taken aback by the chef's generous deal.

"Hey boss, would you mind if I make her the first bowl?" Shujin asked, much to Izumi's further surprise.

"Not at all my boy! Get in here and show our lovely customer what you've got!" Inosuke said as he made room for his best employee to join him in the kitchen.

All Izumi could do was watch and wait in bewilderment as Shujin quick put on an apron and got to work on making her meal.

---------------

"So far so good," you think to yourself as you work with practiced ease in making a mid-size bowl of miso ramen.

Within five minutes, you finished making nice, steaming bowl of miso flavored noodles and present it to your still stupefied customer with a professional, yet eager smile. "Here you go miss, enjoy."

You watch and wait with anticipation as Izumi grabs a pair of chopsticks from the cup on the shelf, splits them in half and gives a polite "Itadakimasu!" before taking the first bite of your dish. The second the noodles touched her tongue, you see her eyes widen in amazement and she begins to scarf down the ramen, moaning with delight with nearly every bite.

It didn't take long for her to finish off the noodles and chug down the broth, placing the bowl down on the shelf with a satisfied sigh. "Another bowl please!" she order with a beautiful grin. "This time make it a large and with beef!"

You beam a happy smile, both from seeing that she enjoyed the meal and that your plan was working perfectly so far. "Coming right up!"

---------------

How many bowls does Izumi end up eating?

1. Just one more bowl. (She's not as hungry as she thought.)

2. Three more bowls. (She wasn't kidding when she said she was hungry)

3. Six more bowls! (Damn, this girl's got an appetite as big as her boobs!)
