Welp, this was it. This was how you were gonna die.
Crushed underneath someone's shoe, what a way to go. Would anyone even find you? You were only about three inches tall, so it wasn't like you were very noticeable.
But you at least intended to last as long as you could. You weren't particularly athletic, but you weren't out of shape either, and you had adrenaline fueling you right now!
So here you were, desperately dodging left and right, throwing your way out of the way of oncoming shoes and sandals, rolling and ducking to avoid getting kicked by some unaware person's foot.
As much as you wanted to live, you honestly didn't know if you'd last more than another minute at this rate. The halls were filled with students moving from one class to another, meaning that things were just about as busy as they were going to be.
You fought the good fight for another hair-raising thirty seconds or so, but there was simply no way you were going to last forever. And so it came to pass that the wind was knocked out of you as someone's foot swept into you, catching you at just the perfect angle that your bones didn't crunch on impact. Instead, you were sent flying once more...
Shit. You really hoped this wasn't the end of your life. There was so much more you wanted to do, so much more you wanted to see...
And most of all you didn't want Hotaru to have to find your tiny, broken body on the floor of the school. That would... you honestly didn't want to think about how heartbroken she'd be if you'd gotten killed as a result of one of her faulty inventions.
But before you could get snuffed out, it seemed that fate had more in store for you. This wasn't the end of your story, not by a long shot!
