Not long after your bestie took her seat, other students started to enter the classroom and seek out their own desks. Unfortunately, one of the vacant desks (other than yours, of course) was directly to the left of Hotaru's. Keeping you in her hands was no longer a feasible option - she'd have to hide you elsewhere, or else you'd be noticed for sure!
"I'd better hide you on my lap..." Hotaru whispered to the tiny young man in her hold, thankfully unheard by the student approaching the unoccupied desk. "Sorry about this, Shujin!"
Not giving you even a second to consider other hiding spots, your best friend swiftly placed you onto her lap, away from anyone's prying eyes. The sudden movement was startling to you, but you chose not to protest your current placement. There were worse places you could have ended up, after all! You could easily have been stepped on and reduced to a lifeless stain under someone's shoe. Or you could be captured by another student and made into their slave or pet. Heck, if you were really unlucky, someone could have eaten you at your current size!
Your thoughts were interrupted by a deep, low rumble coming from nearby. You slowly, uneasily turned to face the source of this loud noise: Hotaru's stomach. Even though she wasn't wearing a crop top or any other midriff-baring outfit, you could still hear your bestie's gut sloshing at full force, in want of sustenance. You dreaded the terrifying thought of being accidentally swallowed and slowly digested by her.
Shaking your head to try and drive out these frightening possibilities from your mind, you took a cautious peek around to ensure that no one was looking at Hotaru suspiciously. Upon seeing no such glares from anybody in the class, you breathed a sigh of relief...before realizing that someone could very well have heard you despite your tiny stature!
What happens next?
1. The teacher heard something! She approaches Hotaru and ends up discovering you.
2. Another student heard something! They check on Hotaru and see you on her lap.
3. Nobody heard you. Class goes on uneventfully.
4. You ask Hotaru to hide you somewhere else, such as her pocket.
