Realizing something was off you looked up at Cindy and said, "You're lying."
"What?" Cindy asked in surprise.
"You're lying, before Monica showed up I saw a small vile of blue liquid in your bag. The potion was yours wasn't it? You must have given it to me when I was drunk," you said somehow thinking calmly about the whole situation. You looked up to see that Cindy was now crying.
"Ok, you got me, the truth is that you were my closest friend and you were the one person who would help me when ever Monica picked on me. Most studies show that a majority of people will never see each other again after high school but I... I can't stand the thought of losing you. I... I love you Mark and I want us to be together forever."
"Cindy, I wouldn't leave you, even if were going to seperate colleges we could still keep in touch through social media. I'd be more than willing to visit you whenever I had the chance. I didn't know that you loved me but honestly I loved you too but I could never work up the courage to say anything," you said to her.
She had a small smile as she said, "thank you Mark, I'm sorry about all of this."
"It's fine, just give me the antidote so that I can be normal again," you said calmly. You looked up to see that Cindy with a somber look on her face.
"I'm... I'm sorry Mark but there isn't an antidote," she said clearly feeling guilty about her mistake.
"What?" You asked taken completely off guard by her response.
"There isn't an antidote, it's permanent, you're stuck like this and it's all my fault."
