The path Gran took stayed a comfortable distance away from the body itself. The simple act of dropping down her hand with no force behind it had launched him up in the air; he was not interested in finding out what the entire body rolling over would do.

The curve of her resting arm rose above his head as he passed the shoulder, and its shadow was changed by that of her head. Her light breathing became audible, and only increased in volume as Gran got closer. He didn't really have a plan for this. If this girl truly was the one responsible then this might backfire horribly, but it was the only place he could start from.

Yet despite of all the hurry to get there, once Gran did reach the vicinity of the slightly wet edge of the pillow, he stopped. There it was again, that weird feeling. Gran was positive he had never met this person before, but the more he stared at her face the more familiar it felt.

She sighed in her slumber and adjusted herself a little, making Gran take a few steps back out of caution. The warm, moist air swept over him. It had no distinct smell, which took Gran by surprise.

"She must take good care of herself."

He felt a bit dumb for such an obvious thought, but from his many years of experience as a skyfarer he understood that it wasn't something to take for granted. It took effort and discipline to keep up with self-care.

Gran's eyes wandered to focus on her short hair... well, hair that was short its owner anyway. At this size it was easy to see how soft and flush it was. The gaze traveled slowly back from the horizontally placed top back to her mouth, taking in everything in between. No blemishes. Soft lips. Even her nose looked cute.

Gran felt like he was getting distracted... but was it all that bad?
