"What exactly are you?"
Island of Change Collaberotica Version
Chapter 10
"What exactly are you?" You ask, "When I first checked in, you were human, but your head and voice were that of a man's! And then you were a fully woman just a few minutes ago, and now you're a giant pig-lady!"
Ruby just grins, her teeth and tusks shining unsettllingly in the office's light. She then points down at one of her cloven feet and you can already see it starting to change as black and white fur slowly creeps up from her hoof. "And in a few minutes, I'll be something else! Isn't it exciting?" Her voice was still high, but seemed far more sing-songy than it had been when you were just a guest. It was almost annoyingly so and when combined with her current appearance, made her seem more like a cartoon than an actual person.
"But...why?"
"I'm a Multimorph! When you work the front desk here, you are one of the first individuals a guest gets to interact with, and as such, one of the first experiences with the transformations here on the Island! It's to get people comfortable with the concept transformation and make it an exciting prospect for them, which encourages them to spend money in order to experience it themselves!"
You blink, "So you're basically giving up your body to be a living billboard?" The reality of losing your original body was already enough to terrify you, but the thought of willingly giving it up to promote sales seemed...well, you wanted to say wrong but given you were, just a short while ago, playing cards in the hopes of possessing someone as a sex toy you couldn't really judge. You watch watch as Ruby's grin turns into a frown. She turns and presses a button on the generic looking phone with a hooved finger, and a few moments later a small swarm of three small, winged people flutter in from the employee hallway.
"Frank, Mary, Balthazar, can you cover the desk for a moment while I brief our new hire?" Ruby says as the small glowing beings gather around her. They're incredibly luminous and staring at them hurts your eyes and you're not sure if they're all female or just androgenous, a question that their voices also fail to answer as they speak as they're high pitched and sound as if they've inhaled too much helium.
"No problem Ruby!"
"I can take a break from paperwork for a minute"
"Hurry, it's almost time for my shift to end"
"Thanks, guys" Ruby says before she drags you into the hallway, her face stormy looking. You look back at the desk to see the three fairy employees give you one last bright look before turning to face another handful of customers, zooming around the office. But then Ruby clears her throat, which sounds more like a garbled oink, and your attention is focused entirely on her.
"It's my job, and I don't mind. I enjoy being something different. Sometimes it's something plain like a normal human or an anthro, sometimes it'll get crazy and wild and spit out something that has never existed before. And when my shift is over, I go back to my default form, so I'm not giving up anything." Ruby's voice was cold, hard and low, almost a growl. You could see her beady pig eyes narrow and suddenly you were very wary of the tusks sticking out of her mouth, and how sharp they looked.
"I-I'm sorry" You stammer apologetically, "I'm just...I'm just really overwhelmed by everything. I was a man an hour ago! And on vacation! Now I'm a woman and at a job, working off more money than I've ever had! I just want to be me again and go home!" Your brave face seems to crumble finally as you feel hot tears stream down your face as you struggle not to break out into open sobbing.
"Shit" You mutter, wiping your eyes with a long slender arm as you turn away from your new co-worker. You don't see what Ruby is doing but you soon feel the weird sensation of hoof-fingers on your shoulder. You turn away, wiping away your eyes and taking a rather dramatic inhale as you try to put your composure back together. There, through bleary eyes, you see Ruby smiling gently at you.
"Hey, it's ok. I understand it's a lot to take in, but you're get the hang of it, after all, I did" The now half-porcine woman says as the black and white fur makes it's way down her flabby arms.
Your eyes widen in surprise "Y-you're working off casino debt too?" You stammer.
"Well...Not from the casino, and no longer working it off, but I was in a similar situation. But you get used to it, and I know that it seems designed to keep you trapped here, but it's not so bad. I mean, they won't even have your TF chip implanted until tomorrow, they give you a full day to acclimate to train on the job before they make you change for it. And if you don't want to...be like me, you don't have to work the desk" Ruby says as she pats your shoulder.
"TF chip? What's that? You ask with another sniff as the last of the tears leave your eye.
"It's the thing that the Resort uses to transform you. But no matter what, you'll always have this form to come back too. It's your default"
Your eyes widen in alarm "Default!? No! I'm a man! That's my default! I'm Juan Sanchez!" You say, your voice rising in panic. Ruby pushes a finger against your lips as her head begins to change, black and white fur covering it as it morphs into a more bovine-like shape as her tusks retract as two large horns grow out of her head.
"Shhh. Don't worry, all guest transformations are stored within a database for a day. The moment you signed the contract, Rich most likely had your original form pulled and saved. Which, not to alarm you, they probably added a few hundred dollars and upped your utility fee by a few dollars a month. But you're still there, if you still want it by the time you work off the money"
The thought of not wanting to go back to your body fills you with anger but you bite your lip and nod, not wanting to anger the first truly friendly person you've met today. Instead the two of you stand in the hallway awkwardly for a moment before Ruby suddenly pulls you into a quick hug, your large breasts mashing against the several that seemed to have sprouted on her torso in place of a single udder. But the hug only lasts for a second before she pushes you away, straightens your shirt and says...
