Mission Aborted
Winning Her Back Chapter 2

As the lid opened and light poured in, you were confronted with the last face you were expecting to see.

”Lydia..?”

Your friend looked down on you with pity, shame, and a palpable amount of sneering smugness. “Hey, dumbass. Figured I’d come save you.” She held up the antidote.

“Save me? From what?!”

“From this!” She gestured at your tiny form. “Look at you! There’s no way this ends well.”

“I appreciate the concern.” You said as diplomatically as you could, “But I know what I’m doing. Now, please put me back in Zoe’s mailbox.”

Lydia scoffed. “You really don’t hear yourself, do you?”

You turned your back and crossed your arms. You were done talking. You knew this was going to work, and Lydia will accept she was wrong when she sees it for herself.

“Sorry, bud.” Her voice came from behind. “But it looks like I’m gonna have to hurt you to help you…”
