Heather is out for hours leaving Jack to wonder his fate. His plan to get back with Zoe had gone totally off track. Zoe kicked him out and now he was the prisoner of her neighbor and absolutely no one knew where he was.
When Jack finally hears Heather has returned she doesn't come in the kitchen and he wonders if she forgot about him. After about an hour she comes in the kitchen and takes Jack out of the jar and carries him to her bedroom. "You know this is kidnapping." he tells her but she just laughs and responds "I think of it more like adopting a little lost animal that I found outside my house, like a little kitten. That's not kidnapping." Jack makes note of the path she takes and sees that the house is a rancher all one floor as she carries him in case he has a chance for escape.
She enters her bedroom and says "Look what I did for you" as she goes over to a dresser. which is about waist high to her. Jack sees a glass terrarium with a screen top in the center of the dresser. She swings open the top and deposits him inside. Jack looks around in what is a medium sized room to him. At one end is a doll sized bed, table and chair and the other side of the "room" is a small box with a hole in the top. "See I got you your own room. You have a bed and table and you have a water bottle for whenever you want a drink. " she tells him as she points to a huge water bottle attached to the one glass wall." She points to the box and says "This is your bathroom. I filled it with cat litter so it doesn't get stinky. I thought of everything." She closes the screen lid proud of her ingenuity.
Jack pushes the chair over and yells at her "You can't keep me here like a prisoner for your amusement. Let me out of here you crazy bitch." Her mood changes and she says "You can't talk to me like that. I am rescuing you and you call me nasty names. As your punishment, you won't have any dinner tonight and I want you to think about being nicer to me. Otherwise next time I will punish you worse. She takes a towel and lays it over the glass enclosure so Jack can't see out and she leaves the room shutting off the light leaving Jack in darkness.
He thinks how is going to get out of this situation and realizes there is no way out of this terrarium. Even if he could somehow climb up there is a lid and it has a latch. He sat on the bed and noticed she even made a sheet and covers for him made of silk. Maybe she really thinks she is rescuing me he thought to himself and I'm approaching this all wrong. If I go along with her and she starts to trust me it will give me an opportunity to get out of this house and try to get to Lydia, Zoe or someone from Zoe's family to help me.
He takes a drink of water and it is annoying to drink like a hamster but at least it puts something in his stomach. Jack lies down and soon falls asleep. He dreams of Zoe holding him in her hand and gently playing with him telling him she forgives him. It must be late when he wakes up to a light coming on and Heather removing the towel from the enclosure and looking in at him.
"Do you have anything you want to say to me?" Heather asks him. He gets up and replies "Yes, I'm sorry for yelling at you and calling you names. I know you are just doing all this to help me but I just want to get back to normal size. I'm a freak being this small and it drives me crazy."
"Apology accepted" Heather tells him as she opens the lid and reaches in for him easily lifting him out and holding him in her palm. "You aren't a freak. I think you are perfect like this. I wish my ex was small like you, helpless and willing to do whatever I wanted. I will take care of you and provide for you and you will learn to love me." She stoked his body like he dreamed of Zoe doing and he involuntarily gets a hard on from her play. "Oh, I see my little man like that. That's good" she said "Now how about ...
