Derrick: A gym rat who loves to sculpt his musc...
“Where are we going?” Jessica asked her husband. They were walking down a lonely road with their backpacks loaded with all their belongings. “My feet hurt.”

“Almost there honey,” Luke said, “the guy we are rooming with said he’ll pick us up at the edge of town.”

“Who did we go with again?”

“Some guy named Derrick Durham. He’s willing to give us a month free rent, which should be enough time for me to find a job.”

“Is he cute?”

“I don’t know,” Luke whined, “and what if he is?”

“Well, you always said you wanted to try a threesome.” Jessica smiled wide.

“…a threesome with another girl, not with a dude. Especially not with a dude that’s the size of a skyscraper.”

The neighborhood started to get sparse and barren the further the couple walked. They reached the last leg of the trip which was a road with many warning signs, warning Lilliputians that a Gulliverian road was not too far away. The desert all around them was nondescript: just endless sand, rock, and nothingness. The couple sweat through their clothes as the low lying sun burned their exposed arms and legs.

Jessica drank the last of her water, and tossed the empty bottle behind her back. “I can’t believe the first Gulliverian we will be meeting will be the same person we are going to be living with.” She said.

“I hope he’s cool and nice.” Luke wiped the sweat from his brow. “The people that post to the roommate finder website have to have a background check, so he’s not like a criminal or anything like that.”

“That just means he hasn’t been caught.”

“Well, let’s hope for the best.” Luke stopped when he reached the very edge of the town. The road ceased and there was nothing left but desert. “If anything, we can look for another roommate to bunk with.”

Jessica looked around and saw nothing. “When is he going to meet us?”

“We actually got here just in time.” Luke placed a hand in front of his forehead to shield his eyes from the relentless sun. He looked left and right but saw nothing but open land. “Wait, I think that’s him.”

Far off in the horizon, a rectangular object contrasted itself from the tan desert. A large mass emerged from the rectangle and began moving faster than an object that size should be moving. The sand in front of the couple started trembling and vibrating. Luke was the first to feel the rumble under his feet.

Luke motioned to Jessica to put on their headset so that they could talk to Derrick. Jessica was more excited than Luke as she gazed upon the approaching giant. Jessica secretly admired Derrick’s body. He was only wearing shorts and a dirty pair of sneakers. His bronze skin glistened with a thin sheet of sweat as it tanned under the burning sun. His pecs looked like they were sculpted; his abs had faint lines outlining his six-pack. His traps were like soft hills rolling from his neck to his shoulders.

Derrick stopped in front of the couple. A plum of sand billowed from out under his sneakers as he took his final step. Even Derrick’s calves were sculpted and bulging as he stood in front of the one inch couple.

“You Luke?” Derrick’s deep voice was heard through the headset and felt throughout the Lilliputian’s bodies.

“Yea, that’s me. This is my wife, Jessica.” Luke’s voice was shaky as he stood in Derrick’s shadow.

“Hello to the both of you,” Derrick was monotone and almost uninterested. “My car is over there. You two don’t mind me carrying you over there, do you?”

“We don’t mind,” Jessica said excitingly.

Derrick lowered his hands with his palm facing up. Jessica hopped on and with slight hesitation, so did Luke. This wasn’t the first time Derrick interacted with Lilliputians. He felt their almost weightless body in his rough hands. He walked back to his car and let the couple down on the passenger seat.

Derrick wasn’t in the mood to talk. He simply went through the motions of driving his car home. There were other things on his mind.
