Chapter 11
"I mean, we don't get many tinies let alone ones as adorable as you. So I will make plenty of money off you!" says Erin.
"But I have my own life and a family that I need to get back to!" you protest.
"Well, I guess you did before. But don't worry, I'm sure I will find you a new home today!" says Erin enthusiastically.
Erin turns to Jenn.
"Jenn, find a container for this little guy and make sure you set him some place where everyone can see him" she orders.
You see Jenn's giant hand reach into the box and you're gently scooped up and surrounded by her soft flesh. Your head and shoulders stick out of her closed fist as she carries you to the back room. With her free hand, she removes a clear glass container with a soft floor inside, along with a water dispenser of sorts from the counter. Jenn gently sets you in the glass display case and holds you up to her smiling face.
"Don't worry little guy" she smiles. "Our customers are really nice and would never hurt a fly. We'll find you a nice new home very soon."
With that, she happily carries you out of the back room and sets you on a shelf next to the entrance of the store. You try to beg her not to sell you, but she's already walking away to continue with her work. You look around at your surroundings. It looks like any typical cute family owned pet store. There's pet food and other pet supplies as well as animals for sales such as fish and reptiles.
You sit in your case and bury your head into your hands and legs, full of despair. The last thing you want is to be sold to some stranger far away from home. You've also heard about some of the humiliating things tinies have had to endure when being sold as pets. Even though you heard Jenn say their customers are nice, it doesn't make you feel any less hopeless. Your wallowing in sorrow is interrupted by the sound of booming footsteps getting louder and louder. With extreme hesitance, you lift your head up to see what's going on.
