Without saying another word, Bethany sets you down on her dresser and opens her drawer. You can't really see what she's doing nor do you really care at this point. All you can think about is seeing your mom one last time.
"This isn't fair!" you shout. "I agreed to stay with you! The least you can do is let me see my mom one last time!"
"It looks like you're getting agitated" says Bethany, sounding a little bit like a mother.
You see Bethany's hand reaching for you like a giant claw. Her fingers gently wrap around you and bring you close to her face.
"I know this is upsetting to you but you need to realize that I'm your owner now and I know what's best for you. Saying goodbye to your mom would just complicate matters and be too sad for you. Plus she may not go for me taking you." she said, as her hot fruit gum-flavored breath hits you like a strong breeze.
Bethany angles you in her closed fist towards her open dresser. You see that she's made a bed out of her various items of clothing for you. It doesn't look too bad actually. She seemed to do a good job turning her drawer into a cozy nest for you.
"I think you've had a long, hard day and it would be best if you went to bed for the night. I will bring you food and water after I tuck you in." says Bethany, lowering you into her drawer.
Bethany leaves for a few minutes and comes back with a tiny cup of water and a graham cracker.
"Here, this will keep you full. And one more thing, I'm going to lock you inside so my mom won't take you while I'm asleep."
"But!" you start to say.
"No buts. I know what's best for you now, my pet. And don't worry, I'll keep the key with me so the only one who can open the drawer is me. Now goodnight" smiles Bethany, as she gently closes and locks her drawer leaving you in darkness.
You hear Bethany leave her room and you start to cry thinking about how you'll never see your mom again. You realize that it's probably the safest option to be her pet, but you just wished you were able to see your mother just one more time. A while later you hear Bethany come back to go to sleep for the night. By now you've finished your meal she gave you and you start to feel sleepy. It isn't hard since Bethany made a nice bed for you. Despite your fears of what is to come, you drift off to sleep.
