The fear that she might take you for herself was then replaced by confusion.
"Why do you want to talk with me?" You ask confused.
"Well I overheard you talking to one of your friends a few days ago about anime. I'm a big anime nerd but I can't really talk about it with the rest of the staff. Would you like to discuss it with me?" She asked while nervously playing with her hair.
