You’re elated that she realized what happened and is going to let you go free. This terrible day will finally be over.
“So, I guess you are in imminent danger,” she continues.
Oh no, you think. This can’t be good.
“The law says that when a tiny is in imminent danger for their life and in need of protection, I am legally allowed to adopt you into my custody their life. You just told me that you’re not safe in your own home, so I hereby take you into my ownership for your own protection.”
“What?!” you protest. “I just want to go home. I can find a way.”
“I don’t believe you. But you don’t worry, my little guy. I’ll take better care of you than you can of yourself. Living by yourself obviously just got your home broken into, so clearly you weren’t doing so well anyways.”
You begin to plead back, but she simply wraps her hand around your body, preventing you from talking. What does she do next?
