You reach your hand under the bottom of Sarah foot and rub it lightly. Her toes twitch in response shaking the sandal. However she didn't look down to investigate. You reach down again and rub with more pressure.

Feeling an itch on the bottom of her foot Sarah glances down. Her eyes go wide when she sees you clinging to her anklet. She quickly looks back at the mail ignoring you entirely. You realize with Cassie still here she wouldn't draw attention to you.

Sarah finishes with the mail and walks towards her house. You notice she's taking intentionally lighter steps. As she steps inside she heads upstairs with Cassie right behind her. When she reaches the landing she looks back at Cassie. "Wait in my room, I have to pee." She said moving towards the bathroom door.

As soon as the door closed behind her she pluck ed you from her anklet. "Oh my God! What are you doing here ? Are you insane ?" She asked in a hushed whisper.

"I need your help. My foot is broken." You say, thankful that the foot in question finally went numb.

Sarah sighed. "And it was my phone that broke it. Sorry." She said as she gently set you on the vanity.

Plundering through the cabinets Sarah found some small wound tape. It was meant to closing cuts for people to normal size. She thought it would work well as a make shift cast for a shrink.

As gently as she could she applied the tape to your ankle. "Okay there, but you definitely can't stay here. Mom will stomp on you it she sees you."

"I don't have anywhere to go." You say. "Just tonight, please. Then help me to the nearest shelter tomorrow."

Sarah hung her head. "Fine, fine, but we have to hide you. If Cassie sees you she'll snitch to mom."

Just then there was a loud banging on the door that caused you both to jump. "Sarah, what's taking so long ? I'm getting bored!" Cassie shouted through the door.
