"Did that do it?" Tails looked at the developing embryo as he finished the procedure, curiously waiting to see if it worked at all. For a brief moment, the embryo stopped, giving Tails a brief moment of relief as he waited for the cell to regress back into an egg. Unfortunately, the developing cell started to rumble, and started to quickly sink even deeper into Rouge's walls. Tails looked in fear and surprised as the embryo implanted itself too deep for him to do anything, seeing the surrounding walls swallow the embryo whole. "Oh no," Tails said at the damage done. "What am I going to do now?"
Meanwhile, on the outside, Rouge couldn't help but be distracted from her conversation by a slight twang of discomfort from her lower abdomen. "Rouge? Are you okay?" Sally asked.
"I'm fine," Rouge quickly dismissed her, giving a small smile back. "Probably something I ate earlier."
Rouge would've liked to hang out a bit longer, but didn't want to be constantly distracted by her own pains. "Listen, it's been fun, but I think I'm gonna take a small rest," Rouge said as she got up from the table. "Good luck with you and Sonic!"
Back inside the now-compromised womb, Tails was at a lost of what to do. On one hand, he was constantly tossing ideas into his head as to how to fix this mistake, and hopefully have Rouge pass it off as something minor.
