Tails weighted his options, and for a brief moment, thought about going up to Rouge and telling her about the egg he just fertilized in her womb. But then, he remembered something about the bat he was in.
Rouge was... is a complicated woman. One moment, she can be one of the good guys, the other, she's playing triple-cross with whoever can hook her up with a nice set of jewelry. If he was to tell Rouge about all of this, then getting whipped would be the least of his concerns.
It took a lot of self-doubts on his part, but Tails ultimately decided to lay low, avoid Rouge for now and perhaps put this dangerous little experiment on ice for the time being. "M-Maybe it wouldn't be so bad," Tails tried to reassure himself. "Maybe we're too... incompatible for the egg to go further than this, that's right! Yeah, just some time off and things will go back to normal. You'll see!"
Tails got back into his ship as he flew out of Rouge without her knowing, flying back to his lab to recharge his tech. He also hoped that his hunch was right as he turned in early.
Unfortunately for the fox, the egg sunk deeper and deeper into the uterine lining. It seems Rouge's body had no intentions of letting the egg go...
