Tails waited around, thinking something will happen eventually. He would occasionally clear his boredom by reading a book, exploring out of his ship, or just resting. "I hope something happens soon or I might die of boredom I already have...if that were possible that is." He thought to himself.
As we zoom out of Marine, we see that she is done swimming around and was back on the beach. She had already placed her towel on the ground and got everything she needed in place. She was currently relaxing on her chair, when she heard her stomach growl. "Hungry, aren't I," she said to herself. "Well I guess I shouldn't keep my stomach waiting."
Back to Tails, he had heard growling from where he was and assumed that Marine would be eating soon. His assumption turned out correct as he saw food coming down from the ceiling of the pink cavern and landing in the lake of stomach acid. Tails immediately started analyzing the digestion process happy with the results coming up. "Never thought I would see this from inside! It's so cool!" he exclaimed.
Suddenly, Tails picked up something from the analysis, showing signs of...metal? That didn't seem right, so Tails flew towards the dissolving food for a closer look. What he found was a robot coming out of the food, and start walking around, not seeing Tails' ship thankfully. Tails shrank down to avoid risk of being noticed, and scanned the robot...it belonged to Eggman.
The robot was obviously up to no good, but Tails was also confused about what it wants to do in Marine's body. So Tails had to make a choice: Get rid of the robot, or follow it.
