Tails was in awe of everything he was seeing, it was just so much better than the books and it felt like both a great adventure and a thrilling secret mission with the way he was doing it while Amy was asleep. Even the supposedly gross things like the walls covered mucus looked appealing in some way to him, as he used some of them as a barrier to protect the ship against Amy's gentle breathing and grateful for the assistance, he decided to take a sample with him.
It took Tails longer than expected to reach that detour point between the respiratory system that was generating such air currents and reaching the rest of her head, so he decided to keep heading upwards. He was greatly curious about mobian lungs and missed the thrill once the trip was more stable, but as the scientist he was he was more attracted to the mysteries of the eyes and the brain, and also to the idea of making his adventure in an organized manner, from the top down.
"Aww, still sleeping" Tails calmly sailed through the orbital area, finding a way around the huge area until he was able to access what he thought was the optical nerve, based on the barely noticeable electrical currents that went through it and the greenish hue that made the whole thing feel like a fancy nature landscape. He was fascinated, but also disappointed that he couldn't see Amy's eyes working in day to day fashion, as he just experienced with her nose.
He wondered how long it would take for her to wake up but he just shook his head after, he had all the time in the world! Nobody knew where he was and it wasn't like his machine had a timer for him to rush up, so it was time to explore even deeper. He carefully sailed around, fascinated with the clear gel like texture that provided a barrier while at the same time letting him see the vast amount of vessels that made Amy's eye work and with the seemingly unpenetrable way towards that huge green disc ahead of him that kept taunting him to take a more daring approach. Would he be able to see from here what Amy was seeing if she woke up? The question kept him around, wondering if taking samples would be as easy as taking a bit of mucus from her nose, or if he should just keep going upwards towards Amy's brain.
What happens next?
