A few days passed after that fateful rendezvous and in that time you saw neither hide nor hair of Rarity, who you had expected to be furious with your coupling with her mother. You guessed it likely that Coolie had chosen to keep a lid on it, for now, to keep her daughter from harassing you, which you could appreciate. The mayor, too, wisely chose to keep the matter private, partly out of her guilt and embarrassment of letting her instincts get the best of her.
She offered to pay you reparations for the deed since there'd likely be a brand new town resident in 11 months, but you flatly turned her down. After all, you had willingly acceded to her des9res knowing full well what that decision would entail, and now you would have to live with the consequences like a mature adult. The mayor was deeply grateful for your magnanimity and vowed to make sure you were well taken care of for your trouble, even offering to help pay off the property taxes, which is something you couldn't exactly disagree with.
And so today you were walking about town, checking out the sights and looking for tasks that you could help with to pay the mayor back for kindness and maybe contribute a little bit to the community in which you now reside.
Things had been cooling down even. Heat is passing and Mares were getting once more to their bearings and the few stallions that inhabit the town are coming back alongside colts and things were turning back to normal in Ponyville. However, searching for jobs here were a bit of a hassle to find, being a small yet, mostly self-sufficient town, had almost all their bases covered for the most part. Ponies had long accepted your presence although you could still hear some of the whispers directed on you.(edited)
In fact, it was getting a little bit difficult for the townspeople to take you seriously at all given the... lurid... reputation of humanity. Not exactly an unfair assessment is given what you did in your first week in arriving here. Most of them politely turned you once asked and sent you on your way. Others... well, the heat season was still not quite over and you've gotten a few propositions and catcalling while walking down the street.
You strongly considered taking them up on their offers, given that's the reason why you came to this dimension the first place, but ultimately decided that for now, it might be best you keep it in your pants to keep at least some illusion of you not being a hopelessly depraved horndog.
You hadn't realized that you had a follower trailing you until you stopped to rest and heard the clip-clopping of little hooves behind you.
"Hi!" You heard a shrill voice, squee'ing behind you, you turned back to notice a very familiar white filly beaming on you, her tail wagging almost like a puppy's "Are you the... hooman?" She asks. You smiled at her and nodded.
"Yeah... although it's pronounced 'Hue-man' and my name is Anon." You began "And you?" You asked, after all, you didn't want to reveal that you know of her and as soon she was about to say her name until you hear another and yet, far more familiar voice.
"Sweetie Belle! There you are... Oh! hello Anon!" Cookie Crumbles appear shortly and greeted you with a smile.
You cordially returned the gesture with a little wave, keeping suppressed the mild discomfort of meeting her again after porking her just a few days prior. Try to keep casual and don't make a scene and you'll be alright, you told yourself. "So, she one of yours?"
Cookie nodded, "Yes, my youngest daughter. She must've seen you and wandered off while I wasn't looking. You know how curious fillies can be. I do hope that she's been giving you a good company."
"Actually, I had no idea that she was even with me until just before you showed up. You know, for a species with feet basically made up of built-in clogging shoes you lot can be surprisingly stealthy."
Cookie couldn't help but snort at your joke and the both of you shared a chuckle. The fact that you could still show a little bit of good humor about the situation put your heart a little more at ease.
Sweetie Belle meanwhile sat very close to you, almost tickling the back of your leg with her tail. Her eyes were full of wonder that her mother apparently knew the strange ape-man who had recently come to town.
"So, fancy seeing you out of that 'little' hut of yours" She began. "Words come fast around these parts of the town but I didn't expect you coming to the commercial district since... you know.. You can make your own food" Oh yes... after that little episode, you gave them a bed to recover their energies as well conjured some food, the Mayor and her gracefully accepted, a bit surprised on seeing you being able to make food out of nothing.
"Well.. frankly, I think I should repair the town hospitality by finding tasks to do and... you know, don't look so reclusive after a few days here." You states. "What about you?"
