Luckily for Mei and unluckily for Ren, she just happened to be passing by the moment Mei formulated her plan.
"Hey Ren-senpai!" Mei called out trying not to look suspicious.
"Oh, good day Mei-chan. Did you try out the new event last night? The gacha rates seem a lot more generous than previous events, I must say~" Ren said while pulling out her phone to show Mei her pulls. Gaming was one of the few things the two girls had in common, and they were the only girls in Liella who could truly have deep chats about such things.
"Wowww, nice!! I'll have to check out the event later! Hey um, Ren-senpai, could you close your eyes for a sec?" Mei tried saying as nonchalantly as possible.
"Hmm? O-oh sure, is this some sort of surprise?" Ren replied, obediently turning around and closing her eyes.
"Heh... Something like that..." Mei wasn't sure what this device did, but knowing Shiki, it would probably be harmless fun... right? Quickly pulling the device out from behind her back, she fired it at Ren.
Ren's body began glowing brightly, until it spread and the entire hallway was engulfed in a harsh white light. Realizing that this probably wasn't good, Mei let go of the trigger, but it was too late. Ren was gone.
Mei looked around for a few brief moments before she took a step forward. "Ren-senpai? W-where are y--" Her words cut off as Mei felt something cloth-like beneath her shoe. Lifting her leg up, she saw a lovely pair of expensive-looking panties on the floor. Details like lace frills and a cute pink bow made them look extra delicate. They weren't the kind of panties Mei wore (she usually opted for the most standard plain white you could find), but even she was in awe of their quality.
The sudden realization of what just happened hit Mei like a ton of bricks. "Ren...senpai? Oh god, d-don't tell me..." Mei dropped the device and put her hands up to her mouth. She was in disbelief that she had transformed Ren into a pair of underwear!
"Hoooly crap... uh, h-hold on senpai..." Mei said, getting on her knees and gently picking up what she assumed was the former school idol and student council president. All-in-all, Ren Hazuki was now the perfect pair of panties!
