The third day dawned with a thick, humid stillness that clung to the garage, the air saturated with the scent of warm scales and lingering floral perfumes. Inside the velvet dark of the sanctuary, Mati felt the first shift of the morning—a slow, powerful contraction of Aurelia's internal muscles that rolled him gently from side to side. It was a rhythmic, biological tide, a subconscious greeting from the body that housed him, reminding him that he was not merely a passenger, but a cherished part of her very being.

Above him, Aurelia awoke with a deep, rattling yawn that vibrated through her chest like a landslide. She stretched her 200cm frame, her red and blue scales scraping against the concrete floor with a series of metallic clicks. As she settled, she brought a hand to the peak of her swollen belly, feeling the soft, familiar heat of Mati within. A surge of possessive love flared in her chest; she found herself reluctant to ever let him go, enamored by the way her heartbeat now served as the only rhythm he needed to know.

Emily was already awake, her blue eyes wide and shimmering with a new, sudden inspiration. She hadn't slept much, her mind racing with the desire to make Mati's stay even more luxurious. "Aurelia! Aurelia!" she chirped, sliding across the floor in a blur of pink hair and blue scales. "I have an idea! We should make a 'Belly-Bed' for Daddy! With all the softest blankets in the house, so he's like a little marshmallow inside a big marshmallow!"

Emilia glided over, her red coils undulating in a slow, elegant wave as she watched her daughters. She smiled, her blue eyes reflecting the absolute domestic harmony that had settled over them. "A marvelous idea, Emily," Emilia murmured, leaning down to press a kiss to Aurelia's cheek. "And perhaps we can brew some of that calming chamomile tea; the scent will drift through the membranes and help our little treasure drift into a peaceful nap."

The three lamias converged into a tight, protective huddle, their bodies overlapping in a tapestry of red and blue scales. They began to pile every plush blanket and velvet cushion they could find around Aurelia’s midsection, creating a mountain of softness that insulated the sanctuary from the outside world. In the center of it all, encased in layers of fabric and the living warmth of his daughter, Mati drifted back into a state of serene suspension, feeling the world shrink until it consisted only of the steady, booming thrum of a heart that beat solely for him.
