Emily sat on the floor, her legs tucked beneath the voluminous hem of her white fleece hoodie, watching Aurelia glide through the digital landscapes of her game. The sight of the massive, glowing throne—with its humming haptics and perfectly sculpted tail-slot—seemed to ignite something in the young lamia's imagination. She looked down at her own small, blue-scaled tail, then back at the imposing piece of engineering, her blue eyes widening as she realized the sheer luxury of not having to balance herself on a flat, hard surface.
Slowly, Emily crawled over to Mati, her movements soft and deliberate. She reached out, gripping the fabric of his red shirt with one small hand and gently tugging it to get his attention. When he looked down at her, she tilted her head, her expression a masterclass in childish longing. "Daddy," she started, her voice a tiny, hopeful whisper that vibrated with a sudden, urgent need, "Aurelia's chair looks so... cozy. Like a big, leather hug for your whole body."
She let out a soft, wistful sigh, imagining herself enveloped in a miniature version of the throne. In her mind, she saw a chair that matched her "marshmallow" aesthetic—perhaps in a soft, iridescent white leather with built-in heaters that would keep her scales warm during the colder months. She didn't want something as imposing as Aurelia's command center, but she desperately wanted a sanctuary of her own where she could sit and learn the "magic of the boxes" that Mati loved so much.
"Do you think... maybe... I could have one too?" she asked, her eyes shimmering with a hopeful glow. She leaned her head against his leg, the soft fabric of her hoodie cushioning the contact, and looked up at him with an expression that was nearly impossible to refuse. She wasn't just asking for a piece of furniture; she was asking for her own place in the world of technology and creativity that Mati had introduced her to, wanting to feel just as "official" as her older sister.
Mati looked from the hopeful gaze of the young lamia to the towering success of Aurelia's throne, a warm smile spreading across his face. He reached down, patting her head affectionately, feeling the soft strands of her pink hair. The idea of designing a "mini-throne" specifically for Emily—one that could grow with her and incorporate her favorite fluffy textures—was already beginning to form in his mind. He knew he couldn't say no to that face, especially not when it came to making his daughters feel cherished.
