"Um... how long this house was empty? It looks so tidy and it's also cozy in here." Mati said, his gaze never leaving Emilia.
Emilia let out a soft, humming chuckle, the sound vibrating slightly in her chest. She stepped back to allow him more room to enter, her massive red tail gliding across the wooden floor with a rhythmic, sliding sound that seemed to echo in the quiet hallway. The interior of the house was surprisingly clean, smelling of cinnamon and old parchment, though the wallpaper was curling at the edges in several places.
"Oh, it's been a few years," she answered, her blue eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief. "We've kept it tidy, of course, but it's hard to find the right kind of tenant who doesn't mind a bit of... uniqueness in the neighborhood. Most people are far too frightened of the woods to venture this deep, or they see the 'owner' and turn right back around." She gestured toward the living room, where the sunlight hit the dust motes dancing in the air. "I suspect you're different, Mati. You have a very curious energy about you."
