Chatting with a giantess police officer
She sits down on the desk she was working on before, clearing several papers for you more easily and comfortably sit on. Then, she leaves you on it, and once you have taken a sit, she asks:
"Muy bien, primero lo primero, ¿con quién estoy hablando?"("Okay, first things first, who am I talking to?")
Her tone was gruff, yet at the same time you feel that she's not doing it on purpose (ie, doesn't want to scare you intentionally). And despite having still difficulties understanding the language, you reply:
"Denis, My name is Denis. I'm from USA."
"USA? Well, that explains you speaking English. Very well, we will chat in your language, I've learned that it's a lot easier when dealing with you Americans." says the woman.

Honestly, you were caught by surprise: despite her natural good luck, this woman's demeanor sends a message that she's a fierce person, more worried about fighting and dealing with criminals than spending time learning a foreign language. You look at her astonished, and Dominica noticed this. Instead of taking your perplexed reaction as some sort of insult or prejudice, she smirks and says:
"What, surprised that I can speak perfect English? Well, around this parts, it helps to be able to speak your language: several criminals that I caught either try to use it to send cover messages that MOST police officers can't understand, or are Americans who work their criminal activities here, outside of their homeland direct police reach. In my particular case, it's my hobby on what little free time I have to spend it learning a new language with my fellow officers."
"Oh, I see...I apologize in advance if you think my reaction was offensive, I have to recognize that when I first looked at you...you didn't exactly present an image of the "learning new knowledge" kind of police officer, more of "let's kick criminal asses" officer." you reply, blushing a bit embarrassed.
"Haha, I'm glad that you think that was the first image that you got of me, for it's fucking true! And besides, you gringos get offended by practically anything: all the bad trends come from your country. Easily the worst export any country has ever done in history." she replies, in a happy tone.
"Hey, that's not true, you're making a prejudicial statement right now!" you say, now a bit angry.
"Hahahaha, got you there! See, it took me but a sentence to trigger your sensibilities! Besides, you're not going to argue with me that's true that where the so-called Woke people are MOST but not all are active and where they have the most influence and power is in the USA, not to mention other social tendencies, both good and bad have all their origins on your country: the hippies, Scientology, to mention a but a few. Sure, some if not most of the ideals and grievances of many of these groups are indeed noble and should be considered, however, the way some of these groups are acting to propagate their ideals and actions is not exactly a good one, for everyone involved." replied the officer, in a snarky tone.
You now just grumble, unable to argue in favor or against her, for overall, she was correct: the USA was the center of a lot of cultural and social tendencies which quickly spread to the rest of the world, both good and bad.

After a brief silence, Dominica changes her tone to a more serious one, saying:
"Well, enough of this chit-chat, let's stop talking about social and political movements and phenomena that originated in the USA and start speaking about your situation, young mister."
"Yeah, I agree. Well...let me start by..." you reply, and start to tell her everything that had happened to you: the reasons for your journey to Mexico, the incident, and all the things the officer would need to understand your situation fully.
Once you're done, Dominica says:
"Well, you're lucky it was Lucia who caught you and no other criminals: she's been a petty thief for a long time, but she's is deep down a good girl, and with this in mind, you have confirmed my suspicions. Now, let´s think about what you're going to do next: unfortunately, although I have heard of this shrinking before, I have never seen the exact process, and the few researchers that are working on the matter have it rough: the government considers other issues more important that to fund research about shrunken and overall disappeared people: heck, disappeared people aren't uncommon in Mexico..."
She then sighs, in a frustrated manner. You feel bad for her, being a police officer and trying to uphold the law in one of the most corrupt nations on the planet, practically ruled by drug trafficking Cartels.
She then thinks, and prepares to propose something to you…
